anyone use there cyclone or might vac to blow out sprinkers?

Used my Cyclone yesterday to blow out my 6 zone sprinkler system. Had to cut the 1” pvc pipe right after the pressure release valve to add a 1” tee with a cap. I think it did well. Most of my zones have at least 6-8 heads. Blew out all water on each individual zones for 3 mins each then all...

Closing pool super late! Questions!!... *pretty pics included!!* :)

If it wasn’t for the ripples on first pic and pink flamingo floating in second one, I would say you have no water in there. Nice job!

How to place a mesh cover over pool/Closing it soon

I agree Water and oil not a good idea. But it never makes contact with water. A light spray and wipe, away from pool. No issues.

How to place a mesh cover over pool/Closing it soon

Just wanted to add that if you spray WD40 or similar onto pipe tool used for fastening springs, it will make the springs glide down so much easier off the tool onto the floor anchors. Something I just noticed when installing my cover.

    Tips and Tricks

One thing I just discovered when installing/removing my mesh cover was to add some WD40 or similar to removal pipe tool. This will make the springs glide down onto floor anchors way easier. Not sure if anyone has mentioned this.

How to place a mesh cover over pool/Closing it soon

I just installed my safety mesh cover for the first time my self. Two people would be easier but doable with one. One trick is to anchor it to one side then pull it till you can get the opposite side secured and work your way around each anchor. Work quick so it does not sink. My cover is not...

preventing leaves and debris from getting into loop-loc mesh-covered pool

I have a few trees near the pool and dreading when they start falling. Waiting to close end of October. Water temp seems to be holding around 68 right now. This is my first closing. What I was thinking of doing was get every leaf as I possibly could before closing, note: some will still fall in...

Hayward modified pool pump cover for closing

I know we have different pumps, but here is mine and my cyclone blower ready to go. I would not use silicone unless absolutely necessary. The fittings that go thru the lid will have rubber gaskets that would seal it. *Note mine is also slightly domed on top.

Hayward modified pool pump cover for closing

Few tips when making your modified cover: -Go very slow or you will bind up. -Clamp it down or it will go for a spin. -If you order a new lid, I would use it for the pump and use old one for the modifications. Just did mine a few weeks ago.

Jandy HP Plus pump - adapter for cyclone blower

Thanks guys, I’m using these that came with my pool. Probably going to be hard to screw last plug in while cyclone is going. Unless I restrict air via valve after all other 3 returns are closed and lines blowing for a minute. Usually I wouldn’t use Teflon tape but it won’t hurt. Do you guys use...

anyone use there cyclone or might vac to blow out sprinkers?

Would like to know this also. As my small air compressor takes a long time to fill up, making this task take a long time to complete.

Jandy HP Plus pump - adapter for cyclone blower

Hi dellov1, I have a Jandy PHPM1.5 pump that uses same cover as yours. Just did the modified cover that you mention. Thanks to @Jwa19 & @Catanzaro. Basically you need a new cover, drill using a 2 1/2” hole saw. Get your self a Hayward SP1023 and screw together onto lid. Very simple, looking...

Ideas for saving my cement from my loop lock cover

I was thinking something like this. https://www.amazon.com/Rubber-Cal-03_167_W_FR_04-Corrugated-Rubber-Runners/dp/B004N2AIV2/ref=mp_s_a_1_11?keywords=1%2F8%2Brubber%2Bmat%2Broll&qid=1568160687&s=gateway&sprefix=1%2F8%2Brubber&sr=8-11&th=1&psc=1 It would come in a roll and cut maybe 4” strips...

    Questions about pool closing

Definitely going this route. I have to look at my valves to make sure one blow out skimmer and air lock main drain that I can continue working on the 4 returns I have. Maybe I have to do returns first then skimmer then main drains last.

    Questions about pool closing

Perfect! Thanks for that. I have the same pump. I’m going to have to do this before I close for the first time my self. You use the blower and blow past the cartridge filters also? No need to remove right then plug returns?

Ideas for saving my cement from my loop lock cover

Similar situation here but with regular concrete deck around pool. I found my cover spring straps digging into decking. What I was thinking of doing this year was to get small strips of 1/8” rubber strips and placing under pool cover straps. This should help prevent the straps putting a groove...

    Questions about pool closing

Hi Jwa19 I’m from Howell. When Seasonal World closed my pool last year, they didn’t lower any water level. This is my first time closing and I’m debating if I should lower it at all my self also. I just bought a cyclone blower and trying to figure out how this process works. But believe with the...
