    Doheny's Discovery, S200, Active20, Triton owners club

LOL, yeah, I do have a tiny bit of the "algae on plaster" from time to time - true, I see what you're saying. Since it's too cold to actually use the pool at this point, it wouldn't go "full green" as long as the pool is maintained with the "minimum effort" as suppose to what's like in the...

    Doheny's Discovery, S200, Active20, Triton owners club

Yeah, I understand that there are always places where the robots can't reach. I'm not talking about that. It's the middle bottom and walls. Also, I have a rectangular shape pool, so there are not obstacles the robot has to deal with. Maybe because the S200 is a bit smaller and lighter...

    Doheny's Discovery, S200, Active20, Triton owners club

It's as simple as how clean the bottom and walls are after a cycle, comparing to the Nautilus I had.

    Doheny's Discovery, S200, Active20, Triton owners club

Have the S200 for 5 months now. While it's doing fine, but I don't think it's cleaning as well as my last 1st generation Nautilus Plus. The Nautilus Plus actually scrubbed the plaster pretty well. A bit disappointed by S200's performance...

Yep, caught it for the first time last week. It was when it just started the cycle going up the wall. Since it was just started, so I was still there and had to yank the cable free.

And rhawke posted a pic on how it looks 1507. Also the Rough Filter.

My Nautilus Plus which I love died. The motor probably burnout when it got stuck on the steps. Looking for a replacement, and it looks like the Active 20 is a good one?

    maytronics dolphin power supply repair

Found a YouTube video on repairing A Dolphin Pool Cleaner - it says that the older models power supply have a fuse, not the recent ones. Mine died last year, and that's what Maytronics told me too.

    Robot Recommendations?

I have a Nautilus CC Plus, and one of the reasons I got it was the 2-yr warranty. My power supply died 2.5+ yrs in, and Maytronics replaced it anyway.

    New Member Question

I usually let my robot loose after the filter is off. I run my filter ~5 1/2 hours, so the robot runs either at night or in the morning.

    Dolphin Nautilus Plus CC Stuck

It might be doing a waterline run? Maybe the rubber tracks are older now so the robot is not able to stay on? It looks that corner is pretty shallow so adjusting the floaters probably not going to help.

    Pool Blaster max died

That happened to my 2nd, and the last, Pool Blaster, a long time ago. I think the water got in there somehow. I was never happy with them, the battery life sucked, they got clogged up fast, and then the suction weaken. I have a robot now.

    Dolphin Nautilus Plus CC Stuck

From the GIF, it looks like it just couldn't get its footing. Mine gets caught on the stairs from time to time.

Where do you store your Pool Cleaner?

I leave mine under the back porch. I does get a little of sun in the afternoon, but it's been ok.

    Over-the-phone order recommendation for S300i/Active 30i?

I ordered mine from Epic and was pretty happy with their customer service.

    CH Level

I am not sure what I got that impression from either. Probably from the comparison between my and Leslie's. I did the 2 tests 10 ml and 25 ml and got 325 and 250 - you would think that the results should've been closer. I'm trying to determine if I could use Cal-Hypo to help jacking up the CH...

    CH Level

    Yes. Thanks you.

    CH Level

Yeah, I tested it again with the 25 ml water test and it came back at 250, vs 325 before. I didn't think 250 was that low where it could cause a difference this big.

    CH Level

Is the TF-100 CH test accurate when the CH is at a low level? The instruction says, I think, that when CH is low, divide the number in half - is this right? I thought that my water was soft - I've tested it with 2 local Leslie's and the results were both on the low side, like 180, but the...

    Handheld pool vacuum recommendations

My max died about last month after hanging in for 2 1/2 yr. - smoke came out of the switch - I guess water got in somehow. At the end, it was only able to last 15 min. Get a robot if don't have one - it's worth the investment, or if you can get one cheap.

    DE alternative.

Same reasons for me to switch to cellulose - biodegradable, doesn't leave white residue on lawn and everywhere, and small bag vs large box.

Dolphin Nautilus/Nautilus Plus vs Hayward Tiger Shark. Pros/Cons??

Don't know about the Tiger Shark, but the Nautilus Plus has a 2-yr warranty - this is also another thing to consider.

Thanks to all for your info/suggestions. I'll grab one of those universal ones and see how it goes.

    Skimmer flap/weir

Skimmer is really old, and I have no idea who the manufacturer is. We never had a weir. Are they different or pretty much the same?

    Skimmer flap/weir

It looks like my skimmer's suction isn't getting the surface dust into the filter. I'm thinking of putting in a skimmer flap/weir to help. Is there a particular brand that's better or any tip you have on this?

Time for a pool cleaner - need some help narrowing down my choices

Going back to the new S series, it looks like Pool Spa Equipment and Supplies | TC Pool Equipment actually has them online, but yet, Maytronics's Web site still has that warning about the warranty voided if purchased online. I wonder how that works.

Let me know if you're able to find one of these anywhere "local" to you.

    Dolphin Active 30i review

Thanks for the info. It's sure a wow on the pricing. I am currently looking at the Nautilus Plus but also interesting in the new S models. It looks like the S-200/Active 20 might be the more comparable model.

    Dolphin Active 30i review

Thanks for the review cbb77. I looked up these Active line models, and I guess they put them in the commercial category. It also says that the warranty is void if you get these online, so did you get it from a local store?
