Strap wrench worked to loosen the outlet coupling. Unfortunately I wasn't able to fix the leak with re-tightening it with lube on the threads. Now I can't get it to loosen again. I'll try again after I drain the filter to clean the grids.

Thanks mknauss! I stored the test kit in my basement, which is heated. I don't think the temperature ever dropped below 60 degrees in the area where it was stored during the winter. I used the test kit today and the results seemed to be accurate. I'll follow your advice and keep an eye on it...

Last night's readings at 11:30PM: FC: 12 CYA: 30 Tried OCLT, FC is 11 at 8AM. FC dropped 1 ppm overnight. Filter pressure is ticking up slightly at 22psi. My FC dropped from 21.5 to 12 during the day (down 9.5).
