More important: Keeping chemistry in range or CSI in range?

Just had to take a shot eh? I'll admit our team has been in a sad state of affairs for a long time. Real shame considering how big football is and how many texas recruits we lose to good teams out of state.

    New pool SWG% question

Got y'all. Yea so I don't have an auto cover but I'm currently running my pump at two different speeds for 16 hours a day. I may lower that a bit. My CYA is 60 and I'm trying to keep my FC around 4ppm which seems perfect for the target. Unfortunately I don't have automation so I can't set the...

    New pool SWG% question

Howdy ya'll! So I'm 2 weeks into our new 11k gallon fiberglass pool (no spa) and i've been dialing in the SWG % output, it's been very sunny and hot the past 2 weeks with pretty much no rain so about as sunny and hot as we get here in Houston and I've dialed down the SWG % output to ~10% and am...

I took a water sample to my local pool store just to see what they would say. I've done over two dozen tests with the TF-100 test kit as well as a pH meter and...

    New fiberglass pool stain?

Thank you for the prompt replies! It appears it is likely the hair product which brings me to my next question, what's the recommend product to remove scum from fiberglass pools? A pool specific cleaner or perhaps something like Clorox?

    New fiberglass pool stain?

I forgot to mention it did rain a bit yesterday morning (for the first time since we got the pool). We did have a lawn mower/weed eater in our back yard yesterday (also for the first time since the pool went in). No sunscreen or lotion or bleach with additives, but maybe some hair mousse?

So I'm 5ish days in now and the pool has gotten clearer every day , I could see all the way to the bottom yesterday but today it's even a bit clearer. Robots and SWG

Howdy everyone, Our fiberglass pool (15x35) goes in next week and we're stoked! We've been really busy and just remembered we want a robot cleaner, we're likely going with a nautilus cc plus but I was wondering if it's rated for salt water pools? Surprisingly no robot manufactures list if their...

Remote (phone app) pool heating control (Hayward)

We're going over the details of our fiberglass pool install options and the one I thing I would like to be able to do remotely is turn the pool heater on and off remotely via phone app, if nothing else. The pool builder wants 3k for an omnilogic setup but he said it's a waste for just lights...

    New pool build options help!

Howdy everyone! I just discovered this awesome site and will be reading through it like a textbook! We're considering a 13x28 freeform 7500ish gallon fiberglass pool in Houston, Tx (vs a gunite pool) partially due to the lower maintenance cost, but my questions is how do I go about actually...
