    New build gunite error

Ours was the same way, it was only 7" deep/ It took the PB an extra week to correct it. 5 days of cutoff saws and impact hammers, they cut 8" x 8" pattern then chiseled it out then floated a layer of concrete to smooth out the floor.

    Deck finally poured

Good Luck and stand your ground. I would not be happy with that work.

    Deck finally poured

Definitely not. Mine had a few spots where the pump hose knocked off a section of the form when they were having issues. After they pulled the forms the next day, they went around the whole pool with a grinder to remove the lines created by the forms. Do you know if they used the wire clips to...

    Plaster finish question

They applied the plaster today (KrystalKrete aquamarine), acid washed and then power washed the pool. We've started filling it, and noticed where the plaster has dried out it looks like they failed to pressure wash certain areas, should we be concerned?

    Deck finally poured

I had 3 guy do a little over 1100sq ft of decking this week in 6 hours. They placed all the control joints at any location there was skimmers, deck jets or protrusion into the deck and then ever 6 feet, each corner has a diagonal joint also. The decking was perfect, it's a pity we are covering...

Actual Dimensions of non rectangular pools

We found that the perimeter measurement the best bet. When we were getting pricing, free form pools were a lot smaller than a true rectangle pool of the same size.

    Plaster finish question

The gunite crew shot 5 extra inches on the tanning ledge. Instead of having 8-9" of water with a 12" depth, I have 7" without plaster. The PB's crew was out today, after 5 hours and 2 cutoff saws they fixed a 1'x 8' section. After that, it's the benches and the stairs, adjusting to the...

    Deck Jets

I'm sure they are making up the difference in the price of the IntelliCenter and the additional concrete work we are having done.

    Plaster finish question

The PB was out today, and confirmed that that depth is to shallow, and the benches are not the same. The first thing he mentioned was adding 3" to the beam. He did try to say that the bar was too shallow. Based on the reading here, I asked wouldn't the skimmer be totally covered? And I...

    Deck Jets

I'm having 4 installed for $700. They are on the same pump, but each one will have it's own valve so we can choose which ones run via automation.

    Plaster finish question

First build, and so far everything went really smooth and the PB is following the schedule. Setup, dig, plumbing and gunite went as planned and on time. A few hick ups they brought #3 bar instead of #4 per contract, a call to the PB and #4 delivered no questions asked in time for the rebar...

    New Build- Panhandle FL

Thanks for the info, I reached out and it was a typo, it will be a EasyTouch8. Waiting on the the price to upgrade to the Intellicenter. Next question, contract calls for #4 bar, sub says #3 is what they use in all residential pools. Do I need to press for the #4 bar?

Thank you! The pool will be a little over 17,000 gallons. Originally they spec'ed Pentair Intelliconnect with iChlor Salt Cell, it was recommend to upgrade due to my wife wanting to remotely control the bubblers and deckjets. I'll get with the sales person in the morning to verify the IC20.
