Already have a working solution. Working on the repair. In this case, the fuse is connected to nothing. Is the whole bottom half of the board sometimes not used? Perhaps when another part of the system generates the RS-485 signals?

It's this the newer board you referred to? It appears quite different as it has a pic24F microcontroller and its own RS485 transceiver.

I figured out how to use "feeds" to backwards control the easy touch features. This is really cool! The lab grade pH sensor doesn't do temperature. Would I need a separate temp probe or can it be fed the temp from the existing probe in the pool equipment?

I tend to be of the opinion that if something isn't broken, don't mess with the firmware. That having been said, you can always downgrade to older firmwares if you don't like any features of the new ones.

There is no harm in plumbing in several potential places for it. Like Dirk said, where isn't as important as how low you can run your pump without it sucking (and constant pool bubbling). You might end up moving it and plugging the original spot. Not that I am any expert... just my 2 cents

Mine is at the highest point on the panels, on the return side. But I plumbed in a tee in another spot on the supply side that has a pressure Guage in it for testing. You could just put a tee in both places and move the vacuum breaker to whichever one works best. My guess is you want it at...
