    First TF100 Tests

“Our guidelines” being Pool Math? Theses are my numbers right now. We are swimming today so I imagine I will need to add some LC tonight, but from what I can tell we are good.

    First TF100 Tests

Sorry, I just saw this. We are all good now. SLAM went well and the water is happy!! Just finished doing weekly tests. I am curious though, pool math says TA recommended is 50-90 and ideal is 60-80. I am at 70. However, the instruction card that comes with my TF100 kit says ideal is 100-120?

    First TF100 Tests

Why must the OCLT be performed at 28 FC? I know I am 14.5 now, if I test in the morning and pass the OCLT, I am done slamming, right? If not, I bring it back up. Not arguing, just wanting to understand and not waste LC if I don’t have to.

    First TF100 Tests

Hey there, another question or two. 1. When using the TF100 to test FC, after it goes clear, if left sitting, it turns pink again within less than a minute. Do I continue to add R-0871 until that does not happen or just till it goes clear the first time? 2. My water has been clear for two...

    First TF100 Tests

Thank you again. Refilling now. I will do the calcs, make adjustments, and start to slam. I calculated the volume when we first purchased the house. I guess I will take this opportunity to do that again for accuracy.

Thank you for your reply. As luck would have it, it has been raining for days. I’ve had to lower my water level twice this week to avoid the pool overflowing. Water was clear when I made the original post, but now I have cloudy water and it is starting to turn green. I tested all new levels this...

    Is This Really Algae?

I have been fighting what I believe is a yellow or mustard algae for about 2 months now. I used two different algae killers, then learned from TFP that was an unnecessary expense. Since I have slammed at least three times. I am in the middle of another slam now. Water is beautifully clear, and...

    Pool Store Advice vs TFP

I was going the pool store to buy a new robot vac so I went ahead and took a water sample with me. When I showed them pics of my pool he said it was mustard algae and the vac would not pick it up. I tried the get close to it with the brush method to see if it poofed, which it did so I figured he...

    Pool Store Advice vs TFP

Here are the test results from pool store. My Taylor kit that came with the pool was expired, left out in the sun, generally not good drips anymore.

    Pool Store Advice vs TFP

Hello, a couple months ago we bought a house with a 38,000 gallon science project in the back yard. We became members here and got it cleared up. Thank you TFP peeps! Thus last week we noticed sand on the bottom, figured we would vacuum over the weekend. By the weekend it got worse and pool...
