So I don’t know how or why, but my CYA is 30 and my FC is 10 produced by SWG working 14 hours a day at 50%. I dialed it down to 40%. Does that mean I can keep CYA at 30 or still need to bring it to 70?

I’ll get some pics for you and post them. But no, when pump is off, pump is still on, it’s just the RPM is 0 for the time I set the VS to for the night. Hence, the lights on SWG are still on, just shows no flow. Hence, why I thought it’s safe to leave that way since the sensor is built in. I...

So I dont have any automation. I just have a pentair pump and swg. Not sure how its wired exactly. But I assume they are separate. Is there a way to provide a signal from SWG to pump so that when pump is on SWG is on and vice versa?

Do you have any recommendations on a timer that does not break the bank that would turn it off?

When pump shuts off at night, it says no flow, does that mean the SWG is off? And, safe? Or, its still trying to run but damaging?

I dont have automation. But the installer said there is a flow sensor that when the flow is low, it will shut off?

Thank you so much! A coupe more questions: - When I vacuums do I need to turn off SWG? - When I backwash, do I need to also turn off SWG?

    Pentair Pump Intermittently Re-Priming

I would say about 3 years old and I did clean it and lube it. Also, if it was the lid wouldn't I see bubbles and not full seal at the top?

Sorry I edited my response I messed up the math, its actually 5.920L of LC. Which is closer to your 5L estimate. Thats insane. Thats pretty darn good. I usually do 2 - 2.5L of LC to maintain daily. So that means I can run the pump 12 hours a day at 100% and still obtain the maintenance without...

hmm, based on pool math it says 1.47 pounds of chlorine gas translates to 7.4 FC which is equivalent of me putting about 5.920 liters of 12% liquid chlorine. Because every 350ml - 400ml of 12% LC I raise my FC by 0.5. Does that make sense? Also the pool math says ph lowers by 0.6 using...

What does chlorine gas translate into liquid chlorine? For example is there a way to find out how much 1.47 lbs of chlorine gas equated to liquid chlorine in liters?

    Pentair Pump Intermittently Re-Priming

Yeah water level is good, definitely not the issue. I’m curious how to troubleshoot air you mention.

    Pentair Pump Intermittently Re-Priming

Do you mean in the top of the pump cover? If so, when it reprimes, yes it goes back to filling up water. However, when it is filled and working, there is no air bubble in the top cover. So wouldn’t there be a leak if I saw air bubbles in top cover while operation? And, if I don’t shouldn’t that...

Thanks for the information. However, should at such a high salinity of 4500 the unit report high salt? Or, is it just depends on water temperature, amperage as well as described above? Also, this unit is rated to produce 1.47 lbs of chlorine per day. Does that translate to 100% 24 hour run...

    Pentair Pump Intermittently Re-Priming

Hi, I dont know why my Pentair Superflo VS 1.5 Pump (342001) pump keeps intermittently re-priming. Shutting off and auto turning back on again. It started doing this about a few months ago. Any troubleshotting? I am running it as follows: 9AM for 9 hours until 6PM - 2800 RPM 6PM for 5 hours...

PH rises with fresh water? wow didn't know that
  20. G

    Aquarite 900

Also, is it true that PH will have to be maintained by dropping acid every week if not more frequently and SWG are prone to climbing PH in pools? What is your experience? And, what is your process? Do you have a CO2 PH system, or do you just put acid weekly?

Hi here are the diagnostics: t-15 74 f 4500 7.22 24.3 -4600 60p r.159 AL-0 I am not 100% what some of the numbers mean perhaps voltage / cell current? Thanks! Why is it that you do not recommend using SWG during SLAM process? What is the logic? Also, the unit says they recommend CYA about...

    Aquarite 900

You rock! Thanks so much. One last thing I cant wrap my mind around is the CYA chart for SWG. As I always understood the higher CYA the more FC to get the same impact from chlorine. Why is it that we raise CYA to 70 and hold a lower FC with SWG. Wouldn't a higher CYA need a much higher FC? I...

Hi, I just got the unit and am just trying to understand how to use it. I think the guy who installed it calling themselves authorized sellers have no clue what they did. Because a simple error of putting 4200+ Salt just signals to me they are either clueless or careless. I have the 940...

What would happen if say SWCG indicates its unhappy (low salt), however, my K-1766 shows its proper level. Does that mean I need to recalibrate? Or, the salt cell is no good and needs either cleaning or replacing?
  25. G

    Aquarite 900

Does the salt need to be replaced every so often because the SWG uses up the salt to transform into chlorine? And, if so, how often do you suggest testing the salt with the K-1766 kit?

    Aquarite 900

Will do thank you for all your help. I think the guy that installed it put over 4200 PPM of salt. Im so upset. And they call themselves authorized sellers.

Interesting, so what is the purpose of understanding the delta between the two? Is there a specific delta until I need to replace?

Wow thank you! One last thing, is aquachek salt strip okay to use to determine salinity? K1776 is like $200 CAD due to monopoly here :(

Would you recommend 3200 or 2800 PPM? I think the range is 2800 to 3400?

    Aquarite 900

Ahh, I was under the impression to keep the Salt in the high range to avoid having to refill the salt in a season.
