    Cant blow out return line

With the PVC pipes being 1.5 inches and the air compressor tool being like 1/8 inch (a lot smaller in diameter) you still think that will have enough force without the pipes being closed off?? I guess it's worth a try...any other ideas?

    Cant blow out return line

I have an inground return line disconnected after the filter and runs maybe 100 feet back to the pool. I hooked up a shop vac and then a leaf blower to the o-ring union fitting to blow air into the pool (return line), however it didn't reach the pool.... I didn't have any issue with the shop...

How to plug the return jets

So I believe I put them in correctly today after looking at one of the posts here. I removed the short threaded jet positing adaptor and put the tapered expansion plug inside the pipe. Seems like it got a good seal that way.

How to plug the return jets

I have two return jets going into the pool, which are two separate PVC lines underground coming up to the side of the house at the filter. The plugs for the return jet are tapered and seems like they can only get a 1/4" seal in the jet fitting. They end up falling out and then the water...

    Pool Liner Replacement Cost?

I think they do because I see them around, did you get a lifetime warranty with yours?

    Pool Liner Replacement Cost?

Good suggestions everyone. I am skeptical about the lifetime full coverage installation company warranty as well because of how hard it would be to get them to replace it upon an issue. Would they really want to replace it for us or just give us a million reasons why they won't!!

    Pool Liner Replacement Cost?

I am trying to get a deal from American Pool Liners because this is probably when the company slows down up here in CT. He kept telling me they are extremely busy in early spring, so I was looking for a better price than $5100 but he couldn't go any lower. They do offer a lifetime warranty on...

    Pool Liner Replacement Cost?

Good info - I have a very similar pool (actually yours in bigger) and I would expect prices on Eastern Long Island to be more than Central Connecticut...Do you happen to know if the company you used is more local or do they operate in multiple states? Can you recall the name of the company that...

    Pool Liner Replacement Cost?

Hi Everyone I hope this is the right forum on here to ask this question - I finally found the source of the leak in my pool, it's in the liner about 1 ft up from the shallow end in a terrible spot where there is a curved seam at the stairs (hard to patch). The liner is also faded and over 10...

Please check my numbers and let me know whats next

OK Cool I think I am getting a hang of it, great resources on this website. The thing I am still not understanding is how do I know TA should be adjusted first. Since the chemicals compliment eachother, I still dont know the order of everything. So it's helpful knowing to start with TA

Please check my numbers and let me know whats next

OK Thanks for the info. I think it was the TA test that turned pink right away so it indicated 0 TA? According to the pool calcs, just to make sure I am using it correctly, do I need to add approx 18 lbs of regular baking soda to raise PH?

Need some help with the steps for getting the chemicals right

Don't take this the wrong way like I am being lazy or not up to the challenge but it would be a nuisance to do that. Testing is not really the issue, it would only take like 5-10 minutes to get the water tested. it's having to then add the chemicals which I am not doing before work. I don't...

Need some help with the steps for getting the chemicals right

I don't run a hotel or swimming school where there is a maintenance guy on staff...I am my own home's maintenance guy but I am away from the house 12 hours a day at work. It would be impossible to test twice a day. I know pool ownership isn't easy but I am just being practical. I am looking...

Need some help with the steps for getting the chemicals right

I have the strips to test the copper and it seems like it it well over .3 like 1-2. I am not so much worry about the copper because I disconnected the heater by routing the PVC a different way. The heater wasnt working anyway. I know the numbers I posted above do not look good, where should I...

Hi guys thanks for having me on the forum. This the second summer I've had a pool so pretty new to this. I am having some trouble getting the right readings to make sure the pool is safe. All the research I've done on the internet only educates you on what the chemicals are and what they do...
