Possible New Pool In Central FL

So we're coming up on a year and thought I'd post an update. So far everything has been pretty good. We've had some interior issues with rust spots showing up but they've been taken care of. Recently one of our valves decided to die so we're waiting on a warranty replacement for that. The only...

    pH keeps rising, alkalinity low

Ok thank you both for the help. Should I ask baking soda tomorrow to get the alkalinity up or let it be for now?

    pH keeps rising, alkalinity low

Roger that the spillover is the valve stop position for pool to keep the pool returns running as well. I don't have a special setting for spillover currently.

    pH keeps rising, alkalinity low

I always thought lower pH was better but it sounds like I'm wrong I was worried about the pH going to high (above 8.0) but it sounds like it happens to go above 8 it's not detrimental just bring it back to high 7's and watch the csi. I'm currently testing 2x per week due to pH and if love to...

    pH keeps rising, alkalinity low

@JamesW Understand but if I'm trying to keep the pH under 8.0 I have to go lower than 7.9 to keep from song acid everyday. It's rising ~.7 in three days or so> the pH is not stable

    pH keeps rising, alkalinity low

It seems like every 3 days I'm lowering the pH from 7.9-8.0 down to 7.2-7.4.

    pH keeps rising, alkalinity low

Yes we are but it's a very small amount of water (or do it seems). It's a large spill over with a slow pump speed.

    pH keeps rising, alkalinity low

Evening everyone hoping for a sanity check to make sure I'm doing the right things. Been testing regularly and logging the results in poolmath and I've noticed I'm adding acid about twice a week to keep the pH down. Until today my alkalinity was in a good range but tested at 50 today. So I have...

    Abalone Shells with QuartzScapes?

Sorry for the slow response. The glass beads were teal and cobalt at 15% and we did double the normal amount of abalone. I don't know the exact number of bags that were used. This was all mixed in with no broadcasting. We love the sparkle and the pool looks amazing. I have had some black spots...

    Nodejs w/ google home

Has anyone had success getting NJSPC integrated with good home? I've tried to follow stuff on the GitHub page but I am getting confused on the steps to take. Especially with the mqtt portion and one section saying it was updated for the latest but the page it links to saying it doesn't work...

    Black spots and White Spots

Just saw that on the app the Acid I added should help drop the CSI to appropriate levels. I'll have to do some research on how to handle the scale

Sounds like the white spots might be calcium

    Intellicenter Pump Speed

Ok thanks so by going to high spa mode it will only override the pump speed setting. I was thinking it would basically be a "seperate mode"

    Intellicenter Pump Speed

Does this still allow for the heater temp to be set with Spa high?

    Intellicenter Pump Speed

I didn't know the correct place to put this but I'm curious if it's possible to have 2 speed settings for the spa? I know you can for the pool (probably without heat) but I'm not sure about the Spa. Basically I want to run the spa at like 1900 RPM to heat it up and then when we use it go to 2900...

    Black spots and White Spots

Ok not sure of this is the right place for this or not but our pool is about 6 months old. This weekend we were using it and saw a large black spot in the corner on the deep end. Today I found a small one next to the main drain. I have a call into my interior company but does anyone here have...

Pentair IntelliCenter Pool Control Dashboard Instructional Guide

New RS-485 adapter and still no luck. I'm sharing the RS-485 port on the intellicenter with the heater but I believe I read somewhere that was ok. I'll disconnect the heater this weekend and try it again and see what happens. This is the converter I'm using plugged into the raspberry pi...

I did this but no luck. Does this mean it's either a bad RS485 converter or wiring issue?

Pentair IntelliCenter Pool Control Dashboard Instructional Guide

Ok I need some help. I got the raspberrypi setup with all the instructions and the wire ran and I've tripled checked all my connections but I'm getting and error and it doesn't look like it's found the intellicenter. I am plugged into the J4 port on the intellicenter sharing it with another...

    Abalone Shells with QuartzScapes?

We opted for both abalone shell and puerto Rico blend in our pool and so far no issues (5 months in) we were told by our interior company that most abalone is actually mother of pearl these days due to the issues they had in the past. For sparkle the abalone is amazing! Hard to capture during...
