Shop vac return lines through jandy handle?

What it make sense to use those for all the spa returns? Or would I could just use it for the last, furthest from the blower? I'm thinking until I get to the very last one, I don't really have to turn the blower off when sealing each one up.

Shop vac return lines through jandy handle?

This is going to be the first year I don't lower the water all the way below the spa return lines when closing. That took days last year to lower the water and I'd really prefer not to drain that much. So, I'm going to attempt to blow out the spa return lines and plug them underwater...

    Pool Cover cleaning and folding

Apologies for the no pics. After getting that thing rolled up, the last thing on our minds was getting pics. I was more focused on getting it away, immediately throwing out the shirt that I was wearing, and then showering.

    Pool Cover cleaning and folding

We did it!!!!! And yes, it was a good couples teamwork experience. Ha ha. We were still speaking to each other at the end of it, so that’s a plus.

    Pool Cover cleaning and folding

Could you elaborate on the when to fold it and when to roll it? I’m guessing by that comment it’s not just fold up into a long rectangle and then roll it?

    Pool Cover cleaning and folding

I opened my pool about a month ago (first time by myself) and stupidly just pulled the cover off to the side of the pool without cleaning it or folding it. Now I'm kind of stuck. I need some ideas on how to both clean and fold it. As far as cleaning goes, I assume I'm going to have to put...

DE Stainless Steel Filter clamps leaking

Yes, I did. I meant to come back to this thread and reply. I got a replacement band (with the tension springs/screws on both sides) and it worked like a charm. I was prepared to pay any amount for overnight shipping from a couple different pool sites for the piece. Despite being willing to...

DE Stainless Steel Filter clamps leaking

Got the new clamp and I'm back in business. One question on air pressure at start up. What's the correct way to set the air pressure relief valve? I'm reading correctly, I start the pump with it closed. After the pump has primed, open the valve till water comes out (which means air has been...

    Yet another SLAM question

About to start my pool opening SLAM. Question on the CYA, PH, and FC. Haven't done an initial test, but I'd bet my life the CYA and PH will be low. Once I put in the recommended out of stabilizer and baking soda, do I instantly start using liquid chlorine at the same time? Or do I wait for...

DE Stainless Steel Filter clamps leaking

Do you (or anyone) have a trick for getting parts quickly? I tried intheswim, which is my usual go-to. Even if I pay for overnight, that's overnight only AFTER 3-5 days to pack and ship the order. Currently waiting for discussion with inyopool rep.

DE Stainless Steel Filter clamps leaking

I wish I could figure I how old it is. All the info on the sticker was already worn off when we moved in 8 years. I've looked at tons of Pac Fab Nautilus DE Filter manuals online and I've never seen anything that matched it exactly.

DE Stainless Steel Filter clamps leaking

I see your in Media. I'm in Lansdale. In case I don't get this myself, do you have a pool company that you trust? I've been googling clamps for what I believe is filter model (pac fab ns48 ) for about an hour now and none of them look like mine. Or if the clamp resembles mine, the screws do...

DE Stainless Steel Filter clamps leaking

No worries. I turned it off immediately when firing it up after a second of water shoot it out.

DE Stainless Steel Filter clamps leaking

Attempting to open the pool the first time by myself this year. I think I've got everything working so far except for 1 major problem. I have a old (likely extremely old) Nautilus Stainless Steel DE Filter and I can't get the clamps around the middle of the filter right. Water starts shooting...

    Propane tank handle won't close

First time I'm trying to close the pool myself. I'm attempting to shut off the propane tank for the spa heater. The handle will not budge. And now that I think about it, I've tried to tighten/loosen that handle myself in previous years with no luck. Is there some sort of easy trick to...

The concept of closing an in ground swimming pool

I tried the soapy water. I was able to find a leak in the main drain in the handle in the space where the handle attaches. I took the handle apart and the seal is not broken. Not quite sure where to go from there. Duct it??? The setup is in the 2nd pic. To the left is where I'm blowing from. I...
