    dont overthink your ta keep your ph in range the side effect of adding acid to lower your ph , it will also slowly lower your ta be like the tortoise, not like the hare

    just reread your original post, pool shop turned my pool milky white, which is how i ended up here they had me add large dose of calcium and baking soda at the same time which created calcium precipitation now i know they cannot be added at the same time so i add them 1 day apart

    i was where you are $150 - $200 every 2 weeks at pool store now $100 per year using tfp methods, and that is mostly due to draining after heavy rain if your pool service was any good, your numbers would not be where they are now in a couple of months you will be bored because it is so easy

    i assume now you are ocd about the test sample water level and adding drops slowly were you always very careful or a bit "that's near enough" on the samples not trying to point a finger, just looking for an easy answer to past discrepancies
