Aquabot Fury Li'l Bravo propeller spins but robot doesn't move

Is the main motor shot? There was some shmutz around the tread/axles, but after clearing it out, still no movement.

SALT READS "0" and won't reset!

Here are the photos. The fuse looks clean, though was hard to get a picture. No burnt areas.

SALT READS "0" and won't reset!

Fuse can't be bad or the Power LED would be off, at least that's my understanding.

SALT READS "0" and won't reset!

Aqua-Rite 940T less than a year old. We've had a lot of rain but as of 4 days ago or so there was 3800ppm salt. The display has always read below what the drop tests indicate. But yesterday it read 700, then 400, and now today 0. What could be wrong?

small drip out the backwash pipe

The pool guy said getting the spider gasket out could take a couple hours, he'd done two recently, one taking over an hour, the other 2.5 hrs. He replaced the top assembly with the O-ring and handle, I did buy the spider gasket and he left it sealed in its package with me so if it needs doing...

small drip out the backwash pipe

So the gasket must have seated itself because now everything is fine, the pressure level is perfect and I don't see a drip from the backwash hose. I didn't try the recirculate feature because the guy already ordered the parts. I haven't had any work done on this MPV (that I recall) and it's...

small drip out the backwash pipe

Thanks a million. This may be above my pay grade but at least I won't be automatically convinced to buy a new MPV.

small drip out the backwash pipe

Pentair multiport valve, old. I noticed during startup I tried to use the recirculate function (I rarely used this in the past but converted to SWG last summer and they say get the water close before turning it on)--and I got a small stream of water out the backwash pipe. So I didn't...

Low Pressure reading; also low salt reading

I have it on its own timer--it shuts off before the pump does and comes on after the pump comes on.

Low Pressure reading; also low salt reading

They may be related? Pump and Skimmer baskets clear--no bubbles out of the return--I do the pressure gauge rotate--water comes out in about 1 second. Shut off the main drain still low pressure. There is a small occasional drip from the backwash line. Aqua-Rite salt level reads...

Extremely High Salt Reading on Aqua-Rite 940 system

Yes it's a 940T. I've had the robot do the pool several times. The readings now match at 2500. By that number I need two bags (would bring it to 3100 or so). The Taylor strip test, by my eye reads in the 3000 range. If the machine says 2300 or less it will stop producing chlorine so if they...

Extremely High Salt Reading on Aqua-Rite 940 system

I changed the tCell to t-15 and the instant salt now reads -2500. This is my first time opening with a SWG. The salt stays in the pool but with plenty of rainwater (mesh cover) I knew I'd have to add salt. I have put 4 bags in, 19k gallon pool. What is a typical amount with a mesh cover?

Extremely High Salt Reading on Aqua-Rite 940 system

    DIAGNOSTICS--6700, temp=64, 27.3, 4.38, 69% (I run around 41% when up and running) -6300, AL-0, r1.59, t-3

Extremely High Salt Reading on Aqua-Rite 940 system

Yes my main drain is on. I usually use skimmer only once the pool is cleaned up. But I don't see how the water coming through the main drain is different than the skimmer if the salt has dissolved properly. I'll have the diagnostic readings when I get a moment.

Extremely High Salt Reading on Aqua-Rite 940 system

19k gallon vinyl SWG pool; Pentair DE 3.6, 1.5hp pump I was getting low salt readings the day after I started the nearly-new SWG system (installed last July). Before I started I removed the cell and cleaned it (it didn't need it, it looked brand new but I still gently used cable ties and...

Just got a new SWG--Aqua Rite 900. It was a "surprise"

That is a mistake that I would make, I feel exposed...but no, it's a 10ml test, and I got that right. The only test that I do that's 25 is the TA. With a vinyl pool I never test for calcium though I did earlier this year because I went to Cal Hypo as bleach was incredibly hard to find (still...

Just got a new SWG--Aqua Rite 900. It was a "surprise"

Lowered my pool's water 6" and replaced. Salt drop test (Taylor K1766) reading did not change. With an average depth of roughly 60", it should have gone down 10% but it still reads 4000. It DID go down on the machine though, it's now reading 2800 for avg salt and -2900 on the immediate salt...

Just got a new SWG--Aqua Rite 900. It was a "surprise"

The cell is set correctly. I have an Intermatic timer on my pump. But the outlet that is next to the outside breaker box is not wired to the breaker that the timer controls. I would love to have that outlet moved over to be controlled by the same breaker. I'm not an electrician, and just to get...

Just got a new SWG--Aqua Rite 900. It was a "surprise"

That's what I want, but methinks I'll call an actual electrician to do the work instead of the pool guy. It won't harm the SWG if the pump is running and the unit is off right? If it's safe to have the system running, an $9 digital timer from Amazon might be the poor man's solution, just set it...

Just got a new SWG--Aqua Rite 900. It was a "surprise"

So is your SWG paired with a timer or do you turn yours on and off each day? I think the cheap solution would be buy a timer between the SWG and the outlet and set it for a greater number of hours than the pump is off. But I'd love it if they came on and off at the same time.

Just got a new SWG--Aqua Rite 900. It was a "surprise"

Installer says there's a flow switch. It looks like a black knob and there's a wire that goes to the control unit. Says that the flow switch senses to turn off the generator when there's no water flowing through the cell.

Just got a new SWG--Aqua Rite 900. It was a "surprise"

DINGDINGDINGDING!! The outlet that's next to the outside breaker box is not wired to the timer, but to one of the other breakers. I think the install guy should have known that? Or found out by testing with any appliance he has? So obviously I need to get that done OR if I turn the SWG off at...

Just got a new SWG--Aqua Rite 900. It was a "surprise"

OK so the idiot lights were on again this morning (Check Salt, Inspect Cell). I reset the average salt and they went away again. Is this something I'll have to do every day? Or every time I check it? My drop kit arrives sometime today and the FC is steady at 4ppm, set at 50%.

Just got a new SWG--Aqua Rite 900. It was a "surprise"

If I have the pump turn off for a few hours that won't affect the SWG right? It'll just not run because there's no water going through it, that's how I understand it, am I wrong?

Strips were given to me by installer. The drop kit arrives tomorrow.

Just got a new SWG--Aqua Rite 900. It was a "surprise"

I reset the average salt on the unit. It now reads -3100 and no funny lights are on. I will test FC now and in the morning. The strips say 2850, and I'll more likely believe them, especially because of what the bags of salt say (2760 for 20k gallons I believe my pool to be approx. 19k). My drop...
