    Question on rising FC

Down to 6. We had a pretty warm day and ended up 4 or 5 people in the pool. That combined with a couple days of SWG off dropped it significantly. I had the SWG on 10% and it was 6.5 yesterday, hard hard rains today and it’s 6.0. I am thinking of leaving it on 10% for another day or two and see...

    Question on rising FC

Yup, first year so trying to learn it all for sure 😂 I turned the percentage all the way down to 0 so it’ll be off for a few days. I’m sure it will fall, I’ll check every day.

    Question on rising FC

I think last time I posted here we came to the conclusion it’s may be undersized if I weren’t running 24/7. It’s an IC40 for about 28,000 gallons. According to the app it should be 2.4 running 24/7.

    Question on rising FC

I was wondering regarding turning it off because that’s what I went ahead and did. I’ll just keep an eye on it daily and surely it will fall with it off. Is my brain in the right direction thinking it’s continuing to climb because the temp/sun isn’t burning it off yet? Where would be a good...

    Question on rising FC

I’ve posted before but the FC is just continuing to rise. This is the first year with the pool. Pump is running 24/7 with IC40 @ 40%. Is the FC not tapering off because it’s not hot enough yet or what am I missing? Y’all are always so helpful so here I am again. Pool is crystal clear of course...

Time to dump some stabilizer to bring it up? Tested again today, FC continuing to come down. Kids have swam last 3 days (even though I say water is still cold).

    Some suggestions getting balanced please?

Okay - Think I should go ahead and throw it back to 40% which puts it 2-3ppm since I’m running the single speed 24/7? Also, the TA and CYA are a bit low aren’t they? Should I worry about pulling them up now? I have the pool math app and subscribed to it to keep all my logs.

    Some suggestions getting balanced please?

Had a get together and was surprised these kids got in, but they did. 65 degrees. Anywho, had the SWG off all day, tested after the party ended and it has dropped to 9.5 - I will leave it off through tomorrow (going to be 80 and sunny) and my guess is it will come down more.

Thank you for this. Trying to match colors can get tiresome on these old eyes. I will watch for this as I get the FC down below 10.

I tested it again this evening. I did the test wrong before. That said, the test triggered @ 3 drops so would put the CH @ 75. Is that to be concerned about, in vinyl?

We have soft water, yes. Super Shockwave 25lb — Aqua Fun Pools Any suggestions for the FC to come down other than time? Lower the SWG perhaps for now? Is that level safe for the kids to swim?

    Some suggestions getting balanced please?

Posted a bit back, got my TF-100 in and tested. Any suggestions on which way to go? I honestly am kinda guessing on the PH. I am not color blind but it gets hard for me to read. I attached a picture. FC - 13.5 CC - 0 PH - 7.6 TA - 60 CYA - 50 CH - 0 (I am assuming this is correct. It did not...

    Question regarding Kits

Ordered the TF-100 w/ Salt Test Kit. Got it to $104 for the free shipping. Thanks for the super quick responses and conversation. I am looking forward to receiving the kit and getting the numbers so I can post here for great advice.

    Question regarding Kits

Yes sir, I am looking forward to it. I just can't fathom the wrath that would rain down on me after spending $48,000 (cash) on the pool if I went to the boss and told her we needed to spend another $1,500+ on another pump! :ROFLMAO:

    Question regarding Kits

You and I actually had a conversation when I originally joined last year regarding that dang pump. Right now, the plan is to run it 24/7. Hindsight, would have pressed for VSP but what's done is done and am where I am. PB says let it run 24/7. No doubt make it easier to keep clean but it's going...

    Question regarding Kits

By my math the IC40 needs to be around 60% for 28,000g. Does that sound right or how can I know what PPM the SWG is putting out?

    Question regarding Kits

Hi all, I posted a while back on a new build. That finished in the fall last year and outside of throwing the salt in and a little shock, the PB didn't do much else. He did go through how to work the pump and everything needed but he was of the mindset outside of the strips I didn't need...

    New Owner - Couple Questions

    Harder math puts it @ around $90/mo. 6A x 220V = 1,320W / 1,000 = 1.32kWh x 24 = 31.68 x 30 = 950.4 x .10 = $95.40 to run the pump 24/7. Will definitely be finding a way to make a schedule to not run her 24/7 as soon as I am educated on getting the chemicals right and finding that balance...
