    Water test results/options needed

Thank you much. I was thinking the same, just looking for a little conformation. My pool seems to like the 60-80 TA, PH seems to stay a lot more steady at those number. Thanks again.

    Water test results/options needed

I did a water test after all of the N. Texas rains. FC 9, PH 7.5 with a digital tester, CYA 60 just added stabilizer, TA 50-60, CH 120. According to the recommended levels for a saltwater pool, ideal is PH 7.2-7.8, TA is 60-80 but 50 -60 is acceptable, CH ideal is 350-550. Should I leave my TA...

Can't figure out salt cell issue

Thanks for the explanation. The salt was added 2 days ago. So looking at my display now which is apprx 40 mins after I posted. My avg is now 4100, instant 3600. I know the instant value should below below the average and it is now. So maybe the system starting to level out so to speak. I never...

Can't figure out salt cell issue

I have got plenty of salt in the pool. The cell is clean. It is 3 years old. T3 cell. The cell voltage and current switches polarities ok. First I started having some really weird behavior and readings not normal. Until I determined first that my salt level was low. So I corrected that issue...

Do they make a less dense filter element

I have got a few changes to make in the signature. The popping sound you are about to hear is me pulling my head out of my rear end. This morning I woke up and realized I had a brand new filter element still in the box in my shed. Installed new element and problem solved....OMG!!! The one that...

Do they make a less dense filter element

The basket is not draining. When the pmp starts on prime speed, the water rises in the basket to a level about 1 in or so below being completely full. When the pmp changes to the lower speed setting of right now set for 1750 the water level in the basket stays within an inch of the level of the...

Do they make a less dense filter element

I haven't tried it yet but in theory it should help. It would be like removing part of the filter element....hence less restriction/backpressure

Do they make a less dense filter element

Never said it fails to prime. No check valve in system. Old pump primed perfect. Need to read the original post again. Primes jjust fine , just does not fill the pump skimmer basket all the way to the top. Water level approx 1 inch from basket being full at prime or slow speed.

Do they make a less dense filter element

I recently changed from a Hayward Max Flow VS pmp to a Jandy Pro FLow. The change over is another story entirely, which I have yet to post and will not get into that this time. The new Jandy was installed by a certified pool company to maintain the warranty. The flow rate on the Jandy is higher...

When did Jandy declare war on DIY?

All I can say is with my recent warranty issue with hayward on my pump failure , which lasted 3 months. Several phone calls from me and the authorized service co to get the part. It became very clear they dod not want to help. So the co. I bought the pmp from stepped and agreed to swap me pumps...

    Bad news about VS motor/pump

Thanks. I know how vfds work. Not trying to be an ***. Hayward told me it was a DC motor, which I said BS. They do make a single phase in single phase out. Once I installed new pump I tjen had a chance to disassemble the drive. There is a PCB mounted internally to the back of tje motor. The...

Hi everyone, well my situation does not look real good. My Hayward SP2300VSP(now discontinued) appears to be bad.
