AQR15 Long run time = low salt

The SWCG has been running for over an hour at 100%. Here are the readings: 3000 65 27.4 4.53 100p -2400 I toggled the off/auto switch and waited a few seconds until I heard the relay click. New readings: 3000 65 26.5 5.46 100p -3100

In the last 15 minutes, salinity went down from 2900 to 2400. I've always had the hump up - just inverted it. I'll check on it again in a bit. Didn't see any scale when taking the cell to the pool store. Looks brand new.

AQR15 Long run time = low salt

Just got back from the pool store. Tested the cell four times. It failed the first two but passed the second two. Took a photo of the failed test for Costco warranty purposes. Costco should honor the original 3-year warranty + 2 years. I bought the system in 2015. K-1766 shows salt at...

AQR15 Long run time = low salt

Greetings! I am hoping to get some advice. I am dealing with a problem that started last season: When the SWCG first starts in the day, the salt reading is fairly accurate; however, detected levels eventually drop over time causing a "Low Salt" error. I can remedy this by running the pump...

Looking good gents! My SWCG is making me thirsty. I may post all the details in another thread but the short of it is that I can calibrate the salt reading just fine after a power reset; however, over the course of several hours the instant read drops significantly bringing the average below...

+1. The wife makes a marinated flank steak salad and that is the best way for us to get our greens! Flank steak is also great for fajitas. A couple Fridays ago, Safeway had a gonga sale: all New Belgium and Firestone 6-packs only $5 each, limit 4 per person. Same thing on..... RIBS!!!! Wife...

What did I do wrong smoking ribs?

I made baby backs over the weekend and like you, used the 3-2-1 method at 225 with a couple of variants: - 3 hours smoking with a wood blend (hickory, cherry, maple, apple) - 2 hours double-wrapped in foil - no apple juice. I find additional liquid unnecessary as it can result in either under...

wired underwater speakers or other alternative?

If your goal is to listen to music while swimming laps, this is somewhat pricey but works well.

Feliz Cinco de Mayo! Carnitas tacos with homemade guacamole, cabbage, cilantro, and cotija cheese; charro beans; chips and queso. Treated the kids to Mexican Coca-Cola while I enjoyed a Bohemia Clara.

The wind is definitely a challenge but I for one am pleased to have a couple days of cooler weather. 95 degrees last Wednesday was just nuts! It's going to be a warm summer...

I'm with you, Matt. Lost 20lbs since the New Year. Not sure how the Citradelic fits in though. My weight goes up just by looking in the beer fridge. Sigh. The sacrifices one makes in an attempt to fit into the ol' Speedo. ;-)

    Managing CSI in Cold Water

My well water is very different than the city stuff. It has a TA of 100 and CH of only 75. I added some baking soda to the pool and will check it tomorrow to ensure the water is better balanced. Thanks again for your help. - Flappy

    Managing CSI in Cold Water

All, Old Man Winter is in the desert southwest and my pool is a bone-chilling 49 degrees. The SWCG is off and I am using liquid chlorine. Here are my numbers: FC: 8 CC: 0 pH: 7.7 TA: 70 CH: 375 CYA: 80 Salt: 3500 Borates: 50 That brings my CSI to -0.59 and "Potential to become corrosive to...

While over-priced and not good as homemade, some Bashas carry ABTs in the butcher section. They use plain ol' cream cheese and thick-cut bacon (harder to crisp up without over cooking the pepper) but I've used them in a pinch. Still crowd pleasers. Definitely give ABTs a try but be forewarned...

We will be in a state park RV glamping over the long weekend with about 40 of my wife's relatives. It will be potlucks every evening with plenty of socialization (and beer) yet the luxury of retreating to our camper when they drive me nuts. Add in my portable satellite dish for...
