Line? Does it matter which color? White or black? Does non-reversable mean that it doesn't matter how the hot and neutral are attached, it will still run the same way?

    Pentair Dynamo Pump Motor

Thanks for that. Makes 100% sense. I guess I never noticed it was pre-wired for 230v. I just direct swapped it and didn't think because I was only sending 115v to it. I hope it didn't mess it up. Chalk it up to making sure motor side wires are right. Thanks for the help.

    Pentair Dynamo Pump Motor

I have been told that. But why would it run fine when the filter valve is set on filter/recirculate, but when I put it on waste/rinse/backwash, it starts acting stupid? I have 115v going to it. Nothing on the feed side changed. Just disconnected the white and black wires out the intermatic...

If anyone knows why this happens please let me know. It only happens when backwashing/waste/or rinse. Attached is a video https://photos.app.goo.gl/QYig58mKUJxCDPvq5

    Pentair Dynamo Pump Motor

My original motor died. Upon looking around I found a Century A.O. Smith - 48Y 1-1/2HP Single Speed Pool and Spa Pump Motor, 16.0/8.0A, 115/230V at an online retailer and bought it. When I opened up the box, I noticed it had a few extra wires, no switch and start-up capacitor. Looked great and...

    Need help on lines.

Yeah I should have taken a few pics of the filter area. Only image I have shows the valve which was the most important issue at the time.

    Need help on lines.

A person in the neighborhood was asking for advice on FB about their pool a couple weeks ago. I asked a question about the issue and she responded that it was losing water while filtering. I ask a few days ago and the "pool experts" she was told to contact never went and checked out the issue...

    Need a facelift

So I have a 18x40 that has a 2 tiered deck. 4ft walk around at pool height with steps down to a lower level. The lower level was built in 2007. It has since started falling apart. Deck boards, treated 5/4 are now rotting and support 2x6s are also starting to come apart. The area is 20x20ish. We...

    Too much salt?

That thought did go though my mind. Sales guy at local store said the plates wear.....I think it is something else than "just the plates".

    Too much salt?

OAN, Where do I properly dispose of dead cell? I was told the plates are titanium. Are they worth anything to someone that repairs them?

    Too much salt?

Made the swap. A few seconds and the SWG was up and running. Salt drop test and new cell match in salt numbers. As of now the Blue Works from A-zon is doing good. Hope I can get a few years out of it.

    Too much salt?

Tested cell at Leslie's. It's done... ordered new Blue Works from Amazon. Figure if I get 3-5 years for $350 I'm doing good. Reviews on it seem good.

    Dolphin E10 Pump PC board

I ordered the pump/motor assembly from Hydropool. Seemed to be the best price and quickest shipping. https://www.hydropool.com/cgi-bin/hydro/item/Pool-Cleaners/Maytronics-Dolphin-Motor-Unit-E10-EX/9995389-EX.html

    Too much salt?

I guess they don't make good anything anymore...... That said I got a friend that does pool work. He is getting me a deal on a cell...$850 4 year warranty.......No I am not buying it. Got a local Leslie's so I can run over there to make sure the cell is dead. If it is, then I'll more than likely...

    Too much salt?

The diagnostic test indicate anything other than 2.0-2.9 means the transformer is bad. I followed the directions of testing according to the link ajw22 shared. Kind of a no brainer. I think I have a good meter. It worked for all the other tests SWG system is 7ish years old. Bought in April...

    Too much salt?

While in the box I checked that and everything looks good. However, when I got to step E in the the check list and get 00.0 for Ohms on both blue/white and gray/violet wires. Guess I'll be looking for transformer..
