    Problem setting up IQPump01

It's not bad. It has allowed me to fine tune the scheduled runs much more than you can with the on the pump controller. The speeds I use in my scheduled runs are now the most cost efficient they can be and allows more control over the schedules runs than the on the pump controller provides. For...

    Problem setting up IQPump01

I just went through the same issue you described here just some 30 minutes ago. However, I was able to figure out how to overcome the issue. I found that once you connect to the Zodiac device SSID and open the iAqualink app back up if you immediately select 'Connect' the connection will fail...

    Persistent algae, please help!

Check your skimmer, grout lines, and if you have a cage over your pool check the screen and supports for algae. In my case, I had algae on the pool cage supports over heads. It would rain, run off the supports, and right into the pool. Took me a while to find this and eliminate it. Also found...

    Jacuzzi J-H127C Heater automation/remote control

Interesting. I did find the installer manual and it basically lined up with what you said.

    Jacuzzi J-H127C Heater automation/remote control

I'm looking for a way to automate and/or remotely control my Jacuzzi J-H127C heater. I will preface with I have already emailed Jacuzzi support but am still waiting to hear back. I did not find any info in the product user manual nor searching the interwebs. What I have found though is a line...

    Jandy iQPUMP01 Local Time

What if you just change your time zone so the actual time lines up for you. The Time zone name will be wrong but at least you'll be able to set your schedules easier. And I have HomeSeer as well. Haven't checked out the plugin yet though. Are you running HS3 or have you upgraded to 4? I'm still on 3

    High CYA? Better CYA Test?

Second call confirmed all the info given the first time. They couldn't give me a solid answer as to why sewer clean out couldn't be used. Best answer they could give was that, "they just don't want you doing it." Real science and policy driven answer there. I think that is going to be the key...

    High CYA? Better CYA Test?

My father is a master plumber and I literally just had that same conversation with him. I understand why not to use the storm drain as they link to retention ponds and other mitigation devices but them saying using my clean out would be illegal also made me shake my head. I know very well sewage...

    High CYA? Better CYA Test?

Ok so I just called the county utilities to ask a few questions about draining/refilling. In some ways I'm glad I called and in other ways I feel like the person helping me wasn't giving me correct information. I plan to call again and see if I can get a different person and if the answers are...

    High CYA? Better CYA Test?

I will do both the TA calc and the back calc after correcting pool chems post refill. Then compare to the online generic calc results. Between the three I should have a pretty solid number once all done. I really appreciate the wisdom fellas. My wife just keeps telling me to take a sample to...

    High CYA? Better CYA Test?

Those are pretty much the numbers I came up with as well. What I'm wondering though is, do pool volumes usually follow a set range or do volumes vary wildly. Do I need to also account for water volume in the plumbing? Would I round up to 5800 or 6k?

Any guesses on volume of my pool? 24ft long. Deep end 5ft, shallow end 3ft. Average 8ft width with spa and waterfall.

    High CYA? Better CYA Test?

Thank you all. Now the question is, is it more cost effective to pay a contractor to exchange the water once or for me to do it several times on city water\sewer. This portion will take phone calls\emails.

    High CYA? Better CYA Test?

This concerns me. Honestly I don't know much about this pool. Using online volume calculators give me an estimate of about 6k gallons with the spa. Walls are plaster I believe. We are located in Tampa bay FL and about 1 mile from the Gulf as the crow flies. I'm trying to think of ways to...

I struck out this spring turkey season. Hope to get out there during fall turkey. Good luck to you and your kid Filled the mixing bottle to the lower mark with pool water. Then continued filling the mixing bottle to the upper mark with tap water. Shook briefly to mix then poured off half, so it...

    High CYA? Better CYA Test?

Hi, New pool owner and new TFP member. I went ahead and bought the Taylor-K2006c test kit. I have tested my water 3 days in a row before posting as to make sure I had a solid set of number. From the test results it appears the majority of my numbers are close to being in range with exception...
