I think losing suction at any given position of the vaccum valve was a coincidence. I just tried again, and with that valve open, closed, or any point in between water was NOT running into the pump. I have no idea why water would sometimes run and sometimes not.

My pool light doesn't work. Spa light does. I hear so many times, "Check the GFCI!"... but I have no idea where it would be.

There is a GFCI outlet below my automation panel, but the only thing plugged in to it is the transformer for the low voltage yard lights.
