Replaced incandescent bulb with LED bulb, won’t turn on.

Well, read the Amazon description a bit more carefully: So it seems I must return these. Any suggestions for led bulbs that will work with this 120v pentair housing?

Replaced incandescent bulb with LED bulb, won’t turn on.

I have a Pentair housing in my pool and spa. I wanted to replace my incandescent bulb with an LED. However, the bulb won’t turn on. When I put the incandescent back in, works fine. When I test the led bulb in a standard fixture, works fine. I’m not sure what this spring is that touches the bulb...

Drip leak where pump output goes into filter

Will do. How hard do you tighten these unions? Is Magic Lube the right stuff to use?

Drip leak where pump output goes into filter

I have a leak that’s about 1 drop per second right where the pipe from the pump connect to my filter. I’ve not worked with plumbing before, is this a DIY repair or should I call someone? If call, do you recommend calling pool repair or a plumber?

    Spa light won't turn on

Any reason I couldn't use these? Lutron PD-6WCL-LA Caseta Wireless 600W Incandescent, 150W CFL or LED Single Pole / Multi Location Dimmer in Light Almond Not sure if I need something rated for outdoor or since they are in the box I'm ok?

    Spa light won't turn on

Yes, we did use the dimming function, though it's not a deal breaker, but it's nice to turn down the hot tub light a bit. Right now it's just 400watt incandescents, but I know there are better LED options out there (color?) that I may be willing to upgrade to as well.

    Spa light won't turn on

I don't use the X10 at all, just came with the pool/house when I bought it. I've got an Alexa and have just bought some lutron dimmers for inside. I should also have good wifi signal at this spot, so any suggestions that would work with the Lutron hub or wifi?

    Spa light won't turn on

Thanks guys. I bypassed the switch and the light comes on. Any suggestions for a replacement switch? I’d love to be able to control it either via WiFi or Lutron.

    Spa light won't turn on

Our spa light won't turn on. I pulled the housing and replaced the bulb (old bulb sounded bad when I shook it). Even with the replacement bulb, i can't get it to turn on. The switches are X10 WS467. I've tried every combination of pressing and holding to make sure it isn't just dimmed, but...

    SWCG selection for 13k pool

I wonder, since this unit isn't as big and tall, it may just fit inline even with the other pipes above it. What do you think?

    SWCG selection for 13k pool

Hello Gurus, I have a 13k pool, so I know I'll be looking for a 26k+ rated SWCG. I checked out discount salt pool and they recommended the Core-35, but I'm not sure that will work because my plumbing would be in the way of the unit that sticks up. Looking for recomendations. I'll self install...

Fired the pool guy, I'm taking over! Levels and questions.

Ok, it seems to have been successful! I ran it for just over 24 hours which should have exchanged 85% of the water. Here's my post exchange test results: FC: 0 CC: 0 pH: 8.1 TA: 140 CH: 400 CYA: 20 I've added bleach and muriatic acid to get the FC and pH where we want them (not at the same...

I may be able to string some together from the front of the house. I'll give that a try.

Fired the pool guy, I'm taking over! Levels and questions.

I have my hose on full blast but I’ve still dropped the after level 4-6” over 7 hrs. Should I shut off the pump and let the level come back up or just let it keep exchanging? Still not sure beyond “a few days” how long to let this go.

Fired the pool guy, I'm taking over! Levels and questions.

Water Exchange is currently under way! My current plan is to let it run into the evening, then retest my levels and see how much we've improved the CYA and CH. Do you think I should turn on the pool pump and circulate the water a bit before I test, since we are taking pains to not mix the water?

Fired the pool guy, I'm taking over! Levels and questions.

Getting ready to do my water exchange, how big a temperature difference would indicate I need to drain from the step and fill from the deep end? Also, can I use my autofill for the filling part or am I better off w/ a hose inside a bucket on the step?

Sodium. Just wondering if the water I use for the exchange will have any issues because I have a softener?

Fired the pool guy, I'm taking over! Levels and questions.

Just wondering how I know how much water to to exchange, or even the rate of exchange. Just based on the pumps specs? My home has a water softener, not sure if it's connected to the outdoor spigots. Would this be an issue or even helpful?
