TWO Stenner Pumps pulling acid from ONE Tank

I think this idea is perfect. I love the suggestion of buying additional parts from pentair to make this a 'clean' install. Great solution, thanks.

TWO Stenner Pumps pulling acid from ONE Tank

Wow! Thanks everyone for all of your input, ideas and suggestions. I really appreciate it and truly value TFP. I am currently using a stenner pump and a pentair acid tank for a water fountain. I have a second fountain that I want to have acid automatically added but no space for a 2nd...

TWO Stenner Pumps pulling acid from ONE Tank

Hi TFP Experts, Is it possible to combine two stenner pump feeder tubes to one tube ('Y' splitter)? I want to have two stenner pumps pull liquid from one pentair acid tank (there isnt two holes in the tank for a 2nd tube). Any ideas of how to make this work? Trying to avoid drilling another...

    Spa jets cold

Thank you to both of you for your help. Yes, the heater is definitely on while the jets are going. I can feel some heat, just not very much. Our heater is 500 BTUs so when the jets aren't on but the heater is on, the water is so hot it would burn anyone inches from the return. How would I...

    Spa jets cold

Hi TFP, When the spa jets are on at the same time as the spa heater, the water comes out warm instead of hot. It's my guess that the water is coming from the cold pool instead of the spa. Any suggestions? Thank you.

    Need a backwash plumbing solutino

Thanks. I'll check and see if they make one for a 2" pipe. Also, I would like to not use a clamp as I want easy on/off since it will be very noticeable in my small front yard. Appreciate it! Any other suggestions from anyone?

    Need a backwash plumbing solutino

Hi TFP, My backwash was plumbed so that the end of the line ends up in my front garden and white DE is getting all over the plants (along with the pool water and other chemicals). I'm told that they used a 2 inch pipe with a 3" cover. The picture with the measuring tape is the end of the line...

Scientific evidence that hi FC is safe

Haha. I think the effects are more long term and clearly this isn't a scientific reasoning for drinking pool water. People don't die after smoking a cigarette either.

Scientific evidence that hi FC is safe

My microbiologist wife whom tested water at a lab as part of her work says that 4ppm fc in drinking water would never be allowed. EPA saying 4ppm is safe is old and not accepted by industry today. Tested my sink water today and it has zero chlorine .

Scientific evidence that hi FC is safe

Good to know... if not too difficult, can you share those threads? How much maximum fc are you comfortable with?

Scientific evidence that hi FC is safe

Safe for the manufacturers to stick with the government standards. Didn't know about the uv consuming chlorine... how much does it consume?

    That's interesting thanks for sharing.

Scientific evidence that hi FC is safe

Just curious... why do so many people and manufacturers recommend 1-3 ppm of chlorine?
  22. A

Scientific evidence that hi FC is safe

Yes... I am not that happy with the ozone and uv but maybe I would need even more fc without it... not sure. We know ozone technology works but it seems not powerful enough to reduce the fc to levels we were hoping for Good to know about 4ppm for drinking water.

Scientific evidence that hi FC is safe

Yes! And TFP successfully got her to accept a higher cya level as a result. Now I'm realizing how much chlorine my pool requires to be algae free and its much more than expected. thanks for helping out!

    Spa jets in pool mode

Awesome! I will do that thank you!
  25. A

Scientific evidence that hi FC is safe

Hi! My wife is a microbiologist and is concerned about 2-3ppm of FC in the pool I've noticed that I need FC closer to 5-6 to prevent algae. TFP says FC up to (pool specific) slam levels are safe for swimming if the water is still clear. Do you have any science to back this that I might share...

    Spa jets in pool mode

Thank you again for your help. I took some pics closer up. Please let me know if there is a way to stop the water from coming out of the jets when in 'pool mode' with the heater on and the spa jets 'off'. Appreciate it! AJ
