That’s definitely a weird sound. I’d keep a very close eye on things. We commonly get a week or so of 30° weather in March or early April up here in Ohio and it’s common for me to have already opened our pool when we’re seeing those temps. Never has our pump sounded like that.

I wouldn’t stress it. Don’t forget, the ground stays at a steady temp regardless how cold it is out. That’ll help fend off some of the cold.

Running the pump should take care of many issues. The temps there really aren’t gonna be horrid for a long time, a tarp over the equipment….a warm light….and running your pump should address the huge majority of your issues. Take a gander at the following thread...

For starters, WELCOME TO TFP!! Before you try draining, try a toilet plunger to work it out.....Preferably a new one. In the past I’ve been able to use that to kinda push the liner into place.
