The electrician came out today and took 5 minutes to fix my issue. All good in the hood now.

    Recommendations on Sprinkler Heads

Checkout the Hunter MP Series nozzles. Also the Hunter Pro-Spray sprinkler bodies to go with the nozzles. The bodies are pressure regulated. Only suckie thing is you have to buy the nozzles and bodies separately and the aren’t cheap...but, they are amazing.

    Explosion near the SWG

My builder will be sending his electrician out next week. In the meantime, I lowered my pump speed and am running it 24/7 to avoid any sucky explosions.

    Lame tile guy did this

They will be coming to fix it. I’ll look into that and even have the stainless steel plate for them if needed. The foreman is pretty irritated that the mason did that. They are going to send a different mason to fix both issues per my request. Thanks for the info. Mike

    Explosion near the SWG

Thanks so much! The builder installed it. I currently control my SWG output through my intellicenter. The SWG is connected to my IntelliPH. The IntelliPH is connected to the intellicenter. Do I just need to have the builder connect the IntelliPH to the pump/filter relay and then problem solved??

    Explosion near the SWG

When my pump is off, my ic60 displays a red light next to “flow” and the lights for the salt level are flashing “green” next to good and flashing “red” next to low. Is this the issue discussed here? If so, then I’ll do the necessary precautions. Just wanted to make sure before I take care of...

    Lame tile guy did this

My builder said they will fix it when they come to fix the spillway. I’m frustrated because I usually catch that stuff. Thanks all for the advice. Mike

    Lame tile guy did this

Thanks for the replies. So when I spoke with the builder regarding the skimmers, he immediately called the tile guy and then called me back. Tile guy said because the flagstone piece he used above the skimmer (the one with the smaller opening) did not cover the entire length of the opening...

    Lame tile guy did this

I designed my own pool and am usually pretty observant. Wasn't until I was in the spa for the first time a few days ago that I noticed one of my 2 skimmers has a larger opening than the other. Guessing it’s not the biggest deal, but would like to hear what others think. Builder plans to add make...

    Salt level sound normal?

So you know how the instructions say “rinse and fill 25 ml sample to 10 ml Mark”? Well I stopped reading after the “25 ml” part. I have been doing the test with 25 ml instead of 10. Oops Doing the test correctly says salt is 600. How’s that sound??? And thanks

    Phosphate remover suggestions.

I’ve used Phosfree in my previous pool (3 years ago) with my DE filter. It worked as advertised without any issues. I think I found the best price on Amazon.

Pool Finish and Color Viewing Room...TFP Member Sound Off

I was extremely concerned the pebble would destroy my kids feet like my previous pool, which was finished with plaster did. From my research, I learned the smaller the pebble, the smoother the finish. I also learned that adding glass beads would help to make it smoother as well. Fortunately, I...

    Slip return fittings

Greetings. Shotcrete has been applied. Builder includes flush mount returns but I would like the ability to change returns if needed. They installed 1 1/2 inch non threaded pipe for the returns. When researching return fittings, I see some slip fittings with a bulge on it. Are these typically...

    Shotcrete leaching

Shotcrete was completed a week ago. Ever since, I’ve noticed dirt on one area of a wall. Although I cannot see the muddy water coming through the wall, I know it is because it rinsed off when I water down the Shotcrete and then appears again hours later. Builder says it’s all good and that the...

    Glass Tile

Yes it is. It’s a more complicated processs with many more steps. My tile upgrade is $600 just for the tile. They want $5,400 just for installation. Im going to try and talk them down in price or attempt to do it myself.

Can my Pool Builder keep adding costs?

Where are the plans which were signed off by the city? Should be somewhere in your backyard for inspectors to review. Should have dimensions on it. I’d not, plans are usually in 1/8 scale so you could measure using 1/8 scale on the plans to find what the pool should be. Ask the inspector about...

    Glass tiles vs ceramic?

I'm kind of in the same situation. I'm having a pool built and to add 90 square feet of glass tile, the cost to upgrade the tile is $600. I was pretty happy about that. Then I saw they want $5,400 to install it!!!! I figured it is the same as installing ceramic tile...piece of cake. So off...

    Glass tile installation

Glass tile waterline....is this something I could tackle myself? From what I have read, it seems a little more complicated than installing ceramic tile.
