The point I was trying to make about the syringe is you use the markings on the syringe to measure. It's more precise. And inexpensive. Then you are not (in my case) squinting to see some notch on the vial or worrying about over shooting the mark.

Not sure if mentioned before, but no need for markings on the vial. Get a $3 60ml veterinary syringe.

More like CYA goes down slowly as you replace water due to evaporation and as you drain off excess water from heavy rains. Or in our case when you replace water from Golden Retrievers carrying it out like giant sponges

I did have the skin on but I had the temp @ 400F recommended by Chef Greg. They were very crispy and great tasting. I saw other postings where people experienced the rubbery skin at lower temps. I think over at amazingribs Meathead recommends 325 for poultry on the smoker.
