    Pump acting iffy

I keep having to turn the our pump off and put it on the rinse cycle for a few mins to get the volume back on the filter setting. Not all the time but way more than we ever had in previous years. I know it’s plumbed right and new sand this year, not over max when I filled the filter up. Is it...

Guess the next round of upgrades are in order

Yeah I’ve been looking on the buy and sell and there’s a few but they all look horrible and they want really close to new prices. I’ll keep my ears to the ground and see what I can find

Yeah both to those Hayward say they are duel speeds. Just wondering if 1hp is enough or is 1.5hp to much. Looks like you have a similar pool to what we are want to put up next year. Thanks for the recommendations, so far haven't come across anything used.

Guess the next round of upgrades are in order

Old Intex pump is starting to show its age and switch is broke (Still need to take it apart to see). Current pool it a little 14' but next season we are going to upgrade to a 22' pool once we get our area prepped and secured. Looking at these two pumps as possible replacements. Hayward...

Guess the next round of upgrades are in order

So looks like it time to really start thinking about upgrading our pump. Currently have Intex Krystal Clear 3000gph pump set up. Old girl is going on her fourth season and is starting to go full Christine on us by either cutting off or randomly cut on, plus the flow hasn't been what it was when...

    DOA this year.

Believe it or not I found the hole once I drained it down. Patches up and refilled. Came out to low water again so really started hunting. Found a few more. Patches up for now. Fingers crossed I can keep it together for the season.

    DOA this year.

Yeah it was more about time line. Almost drained down. Going to get in and do a real good visual check one last time before I can it. Really just want/need it to last this season. Going larger next season after new fence configuration is done.

    DOA this year.

Yeah that’s what we’re going to do I think. Just tested our well water and has good numbers. Originally filled with city water so I guess that was a pricy lesson on fill a little and check leaks. Only thing is that Wally World doesn’t have an intex on hand only summer waves. Looks about the...

    DOA this year.

So quick short run down of the history. We have a little Intex 14x42, it's been a great pool for years. Last year about this time we had take it down due to moving. Fast forward to now (move, major hurricane, probable crappy storage method, and life) I finally got it up at the new house on level...

    Possible chemistry or equipment issue

Rookie mistake I didn't turn off the SWG. Ugh lost 5FC over the day. Brought me down to FC15 brought it back up to 20 tonight. Had enough for one more test. Restock comes tomorrow so I'll be able to test at will. Praying for good numbers so I can soak Sunday while the smoker is going!!

    Possible chemistry or equipment issue

Thanks. Yeah if the test is good in the am just need to get the FC down below shock is all. Water is crystal clear and PH is 7.5. Raising the CYA from 50 to its target of 70 should drop me under shock levels so I can meet all three goals and float this Father's Day [emoji51][emoji482]

    Possible chemistry or equipment issue

Yeah had me stumped to. I guess deep down I knew a slam was in order but didn't want to take the time lol. Mine was pretty quick, well I hope so at least. Just ran the numbers again at 11 tonight and holding at FC23 and CC0. I've got enough to run one more test in the am but then I'm out till my...

Somehow I knew that was going to be the answer. Just needed someone else to say it lol

    Possible chemistry or equipment issue

Yeah I was thinking maybe a possible broken lateral but it's slimy like algae but with good FC numbers I'm stumped.

    Possible chemistry or equipment issue

So everyday for the past two weeks or so I've been battling this issue. Water is clear. FC is staying in the 8-9 range daily. Finally got some pics. Before pump turns on for its daily cycle After running for 3hrs Now I don't mind vacuuming the pool but when it's this everyday it starts...

    Suggestions on possible culprit

Pump is set to run 6hrs a day but have been running continuously last couple of days. Had some algae build up (nothing crazy water was still clear. Just a good vacuum job is all it took) from being gone for work and wife not being able to fully look after the pool due to little ones. I was...

    Suggestions on possible culprit

So I thought I was crazy the other day when I witnessed this but saw it again today. First the pool is clear and has good numbers. I had to turn the pump off to get the skimmer basket it out (To much suction while running), once I was done cleaning out the skimmer I turned the pump back on and...

Coming back from a miserable fail at a first pool closing.

Thanks. Might talk the wife out of some hose and try that first before buying some socks. Hoping the tree will cut me a break here soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Coming back from a miserable fail at a first pool closing.

So I closed our pool for the first time last year and failed miserably. Between new born and work I wasn't able to give any attention to it in person until last week. Took me about 7 days (would have been quicker I think if I could have stayed with it during the process) but she came back pretty...

The other thing I noticed is the brittles on the stock brush are way softer that's what was on the triangle head. I think the softer bristle help pick stuff up off the floor to get sucked up Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
