    Easy Touch Programming VSF

By High speed, I mean fast enough to move the water for skimming. Seems like not much circulation until I get up to higher speeds. Maybe I should shut off main drain.

    Easy Touch Programming VSF

Well as I stated am brand new to pools. Thought that some water circulating was better than none. My Chlorinator needs at least 15. Heater probably best to go about 40. So if I want to run my pump 16 hours per day, should just find RPMs to do just above 15 GPM and then when calling for heat...

    Easy Touch Programming VSF

Thanks. So you wouldn't run your pump overnight below the flow level for your chlorinator? The program you are using looks different than mine. Is that the one developed for PBs as opposed to consumers?

    Easy Touch Programming VSF

For some reason I can't figure out how to program the easytouch to properly control my Intelliflo VSF. It seems like a pump gets attached to a circuit, but I can't figure out how to schedule the circuit multiple times with different flow rates. I want to do something simple like run the pump 9...

    Start up Guide

I have read every manual I have, hundreds of hours of documentation about building a pool, but you are right I have not read about how to open the pool up; thats why I am soliciting a good resource to read :)

    Start up Guide

Is there any good pool startup guide anywhere. I have spent the last 4 months building my pool and I have everything hooked up, but need to build up the guts to start it all up I have a cartridge filter, heater and SWG as well. I suspect all i need to do it prime the pump and turn it on, dump...

    Pentair SWG

Yes, there are 4 wires from each. I am not sure if they are the same 4 wires. It looks like the sub-board might use full duplex RS-485 and the port to SWG uses half duplex RS-485 and the AC power on other 2 connectors.

    Pentair SWG

Yes there is a 4W running from the SWG board to the main board and I do have the connector on the bottom of the LV raceway. Sounds like I am golden. Good to hear and much thanks.

    Pentair SWG

Hi, I do have the big transformer and the circuit board. Mine is soldered to J7 vs molex connector but otherwise the same. Now knowing this board is for the intellichlor, and seeing there are 2 power and 2 data connections, I think this may have answered my question but happy to hear your...

    Pentair SWG

I now have my new Intellichlor. I have hooked up the primary transformer in the Easytouch Load Centre to the filter/pump relay output (both legs of the 240V to the relay output and input to both sides of a 240V breaker). The manuals (both Easytouch and Intellichlor) are really unclear on the...

    Pentair SWG

Jim, thanks this was the definitive answer I was looking for. My Easytouch did not come with a cell for whatever reason.

    Pentair SWG

Thanks for that advice. I filled in my sig. I have a 14k gallon pool; so maybe I should just forget about the IC15, return it and buy an IC40.

    Pentair SWG

Hi, I have an EasyTouch 4P-C (which I think is the Canadian version.) It has the option for the Intellichlor and there is a transformer for it inside the high voltage compartment and a connector on the bottom left of the unit. I looked at the power cable coming off of the Intellichlor and...

    Pentair SWG

Hopefully someone on here understands the Pentair line well. I have an IC15 and it is unclear in the documentation whether I can hook this up to my Easytouch controller and the associated transformer in the Intellicenter. Does anyone know whether IC15 is compatible with the Easytouch?

    New Pool Build, Plumbing Tips

Was searching for a thread that would help me but didn't find one. I am just about to start plumbing my new pool. It is a simple, vinyl lined sports pool 32X16, about 15000 gallons. I have one skimmer and main drains plumbed back to pad (2 drains but 1 line). I have 2 returns, gas heater, VS...

    Escutcheons for Volleyball Net

Perhaps my terminology is incorrect. I have the anchor and I want to set it up for the concrete people to pour around it. They say that the pool builder set these up for them and I am building my own pool. https://srsmith.com/en-us/products/parts-and-accessories/4-bronze-anchor-190-od/

    Escutcheons for Volleyball Net

I bought some brass escutcheons for my pool deck for use with poles for a volleyball net. Any tips on how to set and level them prior to a concrete pour so they are level with the pool deck; and will be stable enough for the concrete finishers to not move them? Much Thanks,

    LED Light Wet Niche Conduit

Hi, Just putting my conduit runs in for my lights. THe lights are at 14" below wall height. How high should I come up close to ground level to keep water out of most of the run. Assuming skimmer depth of 4 inches below wall I was thinking 2 inches? The conduit runs are home run back to...

    Light location and depth

Thanks. There doesn't seem to be too much info on installing the conduit from the lights. I have 3 lights and they are all home run to the panel. From what I can gather, they will come out the back, 90 straight up and then run a couple inches below the bottom of the concrete above the...

    Light location and depth

Hi, building a 48 inch wall 32X16 steel walled sports pool with 4' - 5.5' - 4' depth in a kidney configuration. I am curious what is recommendation for the depth of the niche light to be installed. I have heard that same as the return which is near the surface, but not sure what is best. I...

    Sand as Steel Wall Backfill

Hi, PB is recommending backfill of steel walled vinyl inground pool with sand. Most recommendations I have seen have been for 3/4 inch clean rock. There isn't alot of discussion I can find on using sand, except for fibreglass pools. Is sand a good choice? Why or why not? We are in an area...

Dig profile before or after wall erection

So I dug the profile before wall erection as the PB wanted some crush down as a base. Curious if I can fully dig the area between the shelf and the hopper prior to putting up the walls and if so, should it just be a straight line or convex/concave slightly?

    Overdig a little too small

Hi, When I sprayed the overdig for my pool, I sprayed 2 foot. Since the walls are not exactly plumb straight down, I have somewhere between 1 to 1.5 feet at the bottom grade instead of the requisite 2 feet. Do I need to dig this all out to 2 feet+ around the entire perimeter, or can I just...

    Main Drains in Sport Pool

Hi, just a question about main drains. Is there an issue having main drains in a vinyl liner sport pool where the center is only 5.5' deep. I am worried mostly that people will stand on them. PB thinks I should have them and I agree; but not sure if recommendations are different for shallower...

Crush Rock under concrete pool bottom

Hi, I am building a steel wall inground sport pool. I am having a PB come in to build the walls, pool bottom and collar. The pool bottom will be concrete. The PB has recommended I overexcavate 2 inches and put in 2 inches of crush rock as a base for setting the walls and the concrete bottom...

Dig profile before or after wall erection

Yes that's Correct. Only about a 15000 gallon pool. How do people usually go about laying out the pool (finding points a,b,c,d and others)? Do the just measure to two points with masons string and drop a plumb; or is there a better way.
