    Finally the deck is done.

Wow that looks great, love the lights on the steps. And that storage under the deck is perfect, so much cleaner that lattice panels.

Still figuring things out. Everything is pretty much in it's place. I haven't quite worked out a grilling area yet. But everything else is pretty much staying where it is. I'll get a few pics tomorrow in the day. Gonna install the TV early. We are pretty lucky with the view. I think I would...

New Pool Build in Orlando, FL

I like that final design, personally I'm not a fan of sun shelf's. I think it's wasted space. But I also don't have any small kids over. Our original design included the shelf, then we eliminated it and made it a seating area. We also don't have a spa so we wanted to have something that still...

HELP..... How do I clean the sand off my new deck

I believe so, when they were spreading it they used a hose attached to the broom. We swept up a bunch of it. I picked up a corn broom and my wife following with the regular house broom. We got most of it but there is still a bunch of sand. We got tired and jumped in the pool. Going to try to...

That was pure luck, we had that tree there already. Just so happens to line up perfectly. We went with Pebblesheen Blue Granite. Here is the pool all filled up. Took 22 hours and 19,000 gallons. We did get some help with rain overnight. But I thought it was going to be a lot longer to fill.

Hello from Tampa, FL! New member here! Trying to traverse upcoming changes to our pool. Most importantly what color Plaster/ water to choose! 😱😱😱

The best resource I found was to search the colors you’re considering on Facebook. Enter the name of what you want and search photos. You will be amazed. Congratulations and I’ll be looking out for the under construction thread.

Wow, progress has really stalled. I finally have a screen installed. They’re saying Pebblesheen is scheduled for Friday. I can’t imagine how. But we shall see. I still have a pipe that needs to be capped and buried. Electric hasn’t been done yet, and no equipment yet. Tomorrow I’ll be going to...

New Pool - Tampa, FL - All Done

Looks great, I’ve had no progress in a week. They mostly installed my deck last Thursday and ran out of some travertine. After that, silence. I got fed up and sent a nasty message and then received a phone call. The project manager was fired, never placed the order for my pavers, and never...

Finally made some progress on our build. Deck was mostly done today. They ran out of some pavers toward the end. Looks like it’s just down to screen, equipment and Pebbletec.

Need to make a decision on lights, are globrites a bad idea?

Sorry I can’t give you an answer. My pool is still under construction. There isn’t much info out there in them either. But my thinking was that if they don’t work out at least they can be swapped out for a different brand later on. Nichless lights only use a 1.5” pvc pipe housing.

    New construction, Southern Tampa area

Plumbing was done last week. When they were done I noticed there was no auto fill. It was something I mentioned in discussing the build. Builder said they include it on every pool. But the construction manager said they hardly ever install them and the rep was probably talking about an overflow...

Pressure test - Is this okay?

Thankds for the replies, I looked at it today, 2 days since the original post. It went down about 2-3 psi. Inspector is supposed to be out tomorrow.

Pressure test - Is this okay?

They ran plumbing for my pool on Friday. They left the system pressurized at 50 psi. Today is Monday and I am looking at it holding at 46 psi now. Is this okay? Should I bring it up to the builder? It’s supposed to get inspected tomorrow. I

I was in the same position. I went with microbrites. I am building a 16x35, no sunshelf though. I decided to get 3 lights.

Just remembered I didn’t upload a picture of the gunite. A few days before the walls started collapsing a little after a storm. The gunite crew came by and dig out the mud, pumped the water out, fixed the walls and shoot a thin layer of gunite. The next day they were here at 8:00 am and stayed...

For those with smokers, or Big Green Eggs or any Kamado cookers

When I had my egg the best thing I used for cleaning was a vacuum. I purchased this small one from HD. Just attach it to a 5 gallon bucket. Most wet/dry vac's take up too much space. This was perfect for me...

New Pool - Tampa, FL - All Done

I asked our builder about that. They dug ours and I noticed they left the bench on the deep end formed with dirt. But on the low end it was completely dug. He said they form all steps and seating ares (we’re putting a conversation area in ours) with rebar when it’s on the low side.

A few updates, they laid out the pool a few days ago, today it was dug our and they keyed some plumbing. Tomorrow is rebar. I’ve been taking some time lapse videos with my GoPro and my phone. I attached a few photos for now. Any ideas in the best way to post time lapse videos?
