Unleveled Pool 1.75-1.85 Inches Please Help!!!

My old pool was a 12' Intex pool so it was smaller but I did the same thing. I put wood blocks under the legs and had no issues. That being said, I would definitely check them periodically for any movement. My two kids used to get that 12' pool looking like a wave pool and the legs never came...

High Alkalinity but good PH levels.

Hi, I had to refill my pool this spring, 11,000 gallons, and my PH is reading 7.6 but my TA is 400. I filled the pool from my well that has hard water. I looked up lowering the TA but it seems like it would take a dangerous amount of muriatic acid to get it down. Thoughts?

Reduced Flow Rate When Running Through Solar Panels

Never thought of doing them parallel. Does anyone have any pictures of how they plumbed theirs in parallel? I'm going to look at mine tomorrow and start drawing out how I could do it but some existing setup photos may help.

Reduced Flow Rate When Running Through Solar Panels

I've attached a diagram that shows how I have my solar panels plumbed. The panels are 4' off the ground on the high side and about 1' off the ground on the low side. The intake for the solar panels is at the same level as the intake to the pool. I no longer run two pumps. I had that on my old...

Reduced Flow Rate When Running Through Solar Panels

Hi, I just invested in a Pentair solar controller and while it is being shipped, I changed the plumbing from my pump to get ready to install it. When I did a manual test run, my flow rate dropped dramatically. Before, the flow into the pool was almost as strong as a hot tub jet. I couldn't even...

One side bowing on oval pool.

Finished up the fix yesterday. I added gravel and paver blocks to each side support and then packed them with the dirt/sand mixture to get rid of any voids. The next step was to try and fix where the pressure plate was creating a rather sharp ridge under the liner. I used a piece of wood with...

One side bowing on oval pool.

As promised, here are some photos of the fix. I ran out of daylight so it will be finished tomorrow but this shows the progress. You can see the amount of bowing out and how much the legs leaned outward in the one photo. I drained the pool down to about a foot of water and then dug around the...

    Reducer help.

Sorry it took a day to get these photos. The weather here has been less than favorable. One shows where I connected an intex hose to a pvc valve with slip fittings that converted to threaded and then to barbed for the hose. The other picture shows where I extended the hose using a barbed...

    Reducer help.

I did this on my own setup. Get a 2" to 1 1/2" pvc slip reducer and an 1 1/2" insert adapter. Then screw on an 1 1/2" female barbed adapter. The key is to cut the cuff off the Intex hose. Once you do that, the hose will slide onto the barbed adapter and just use a stainless hose clamp. All of...

Separate port for return from solar heater?

I have often wondered if a solar controller would be worth the investment...I'm pretty sure you just convinced me. That would make things much easier. Thanks!

Separate port for return from solar heater?

Last year, I tied my solar heat in with my pool pump eyeball fitting. I had very strong warm water coming from the combined pool filter pump with the solar pump injecting warm water into the pool filter line. The only downfall is that I had to manually shut off a valve if I didn't want water...

One side bowing on oval pool.

Mine bows out about approximately 1 to 2.5" in comparison to the bottom. I attached an image that kind of shows it. I still have the winter cover on and I haven't fixed it yet since Ohio is taking its time warming up. I'll be tackling this in the next few weeks though. My plan is to drain the...

One side bowing on oval pool.

I have a skimmer plug so the pool is full...and VERY cold. LOL I'm looking to tackle this in late May in the hopes that Ohio finally decides to warm up.

One side bowing on oval pool.

The other side is good but I imagine that's because the deck doesn't allow it to flex at all. When I swam, I could only feel a small hard edge on one side. I am hoping that when the pool is drained and I realign the wall that I'll be able to massage some sand onto that spot from inside. You...

Solar Heat - Whats the Best GPH to Run?

That sounds like a much easier approach. I'll look into a variable speed pump and do that. Thanks for the help everyone!

One side bowing on oval pool.

Good to know on the liner...its a year old so I'm thinking of trying a different approach so as to not have to replace it. I looked in the installation manual and it appears that I can drain the pool and carefully dig on the outside of the wall and realign the wall uprights from the outside...

Solar Heat - Whats the Best GPH to Run?

For those of you who are running solar heating, what pumps do you use? I'm not opposed to swapping my intex pump out but I would like to know what others have had luck with.

One side bowing on oval pool.

Thank you everyone for chiming in. I'll have to read up on how to remove the liner and reset the wall and then reinstall the liner. I'm always up for a challenge but this is a bit daunting.

One side bowing on oval pool.

Not sure exactly when it happened. I noticed it right after the install but it hasn't gotten any worse...just concerns me a bit.

Solar Heat - Whats the Best GPH to Run?

Ok, its definitely more than 5 degrees. It comes out like hot water from a tap when the inlet temp is about 75 degrees. I assume that the higher flow rate would make it more efficient at heating by using smaller temp increases with more volume?

The pool was installed a year ago. It's a freestanding pool without any side supports.

Solar Heat - Whats the Best GPH to Run?

I have 4 linked panels that are 2' x 20' heating my 15' x 26' pool. They are mounted on an angled frame that is on the ground with the highest point being at the height of the pool edge. I had a 1500 GPH Intex pump that I used that seemed to be doing a good job at heating the pool but I'm...

One side bowing on oval pool.

I have an oval pool with a deck built on one side of the pool. The other side is bowing out a little bit causing the framing to be noticeable on the pool floor. I'm guessing this needs to be addressed and if so, how? Should I brace that side of the pool or completely drain the pool and try...
