After DPD3 my water sample turn middle yellow

Remember, with the Pool lab 1.0 - you can mix your test sample with distilled water, to come around the 0-6ppm test range. Use 2ml of pool water and 8ml of distilled water - and multiply the result with 5. (or 5 & 5 and multiply with 2)

    Poollab 1.0

I have a poollab 1.0 and it works just fine. You are right, it can only test Chlorine from 0-6 ppm, but that is easily solved by taking just 2ml of poolwater and 8ml og distilled water - and then multiply the result with 5. I really like that you get PH, TA and CYA very precise, and also the FC...

The life of an algae in a well balanced pool

My assumption is also build on that the small piles are always at the same spots and if i chance the direktion of the Return Line (creating af different cirkulation) then the piles of dead algae comes in other places. So - it must be cirkulation “dead-spots” in my pool where they are allowed to...

The life of an algae in a well balanced pool

So, i was wondering - and maybe my wonderings can be answered by all you smart people. This is how i understand the life-cycle of an algae in a well-balanced pool. With well-balanced i mean perfect balance in all parameters, FC - TC - CYA and PH. 1. An algae-spore is carried by the wind, and...

    Algae over night ?

You were spot on. Now i bought the poollab 1.0 tester, and a test showed PH: 7,7 FC : 1,22 TC: 1,28 TA : 118 CYA : 6 So - my CYA is way too low, which is probably why my chlorine wanish Way too fast - and thus algae in the morning. i Will add some CYA (stabilizer) to protect the chlorine...

Slowly losing water in a completely covered pool?

You should do the bucket test, to determine if you have a leak. Leave the cover off for 48 hours while you do the test. It will tell you for sure if you have a leak. 1/2 inch in 2 weeks is not much - its basically 1 millimeter per day. Could easily be evaporation, event with a cover.

    Sand in the pool

Hi Duraleigh, Now i tried picking it up with a little container on a pole, and it is in fact not gritty at all. I just assumed it was sand, as it looked like that - sorry. Its like fine fine powder that disolves into a little cloud in the water when I try picking it up. So, then i should assume...
