Two week old white plaster job. Thoughts?

@kimkats are you thinking this will improve with continued daily brushings? Today is technically the last day that I need to brush 2-3 times a day.

Two week old white plaster job. Thoughts?

Here's a couple of pictures. I followed the new plaster directions given by my pool builder. One caveat is he didn't bring me my pool brush until 3 days after the pool was filled with water. The water fill took about 48 hours so today is day 9 of multiple daily brushings. I'm hoping the pictures...

    Skimmer Diverter Upside Down?

@Jimrahbe Thanks. The pool startup lady finally came by on Saturday. She doesn't know why the other guys put the diverter upside down. Equipment is up and running except for the heater and SWCG. Now I have to battle plaster issues. Thanks for the info on this question.

    Skimmer Diverter Upside Down?

Jim My skimmer is a Pentair Sta-Rite U3. I went fishing for the owner's manual in one of the empty boxes outside. My pool builder hasn't been as after-the-sale customer oriented as I would've liked so there wasn't him either telling what needs to be done or at the least throwing the manuals at...

    Skimmer Diverter Upside Down?

Move from HERE. @Texas Splash I'm nearing the end of my pool build so this is great information you provided @etuser. Any reason why my pool builder would put the skimmer diverter upside-down? My plaster was done this passed Monday and it took nearly 48 hours to fill my pool. His minions came...

Is this normal for 2 week old concrete coping?

One of the guys from the crew came back the very next day after the pour and cut those slits. I was a little surprised because I had grown accustomed to not seeing anyone the very next day after a big job like spraying the gunite shell or in this case, pouring the concrete decking/coping.

Is this normal for 2 week old concrete coping?

Hi everyone - First, great community here. I haven't chimed in a lot but that's mainly because I search first to see if my specific question has been answered before I post. I wanted to see if this is normal and if so, should it be fixed. I hate even asking you guys this but my pool builder...

    Pool Construction Delay

That would be great but I don't have any equipment. lol Your comment does make me wonder if maybe there's only one piece of equipment being held up, not all of it and he's just waiting for that one piece in particular. I'll have to ask him. I can't run the SWCG for a month after the plaster is...

    Pool Construction Delay

Yep, short season like you do. That heater is part of the equipment that's being held up. Hope to be swimming by early June if I'm lucky. As of now, I'm just sick of staring at a half finished job in my backyard everyday with 8 weeks of accumulated trash staring at me every time I walk through...

New pool build in South Florida .. finally! [Tons of pics]

Love the tile color! I wish we would've had those color choices as an option to choose for our tile. Our colors are close to yours but yours just pop, maybe it's the south Florida sun which I can't replicate in Idaho. :)

    Pool Construction Delay

Hi KimKats! When you put everything into perspective, my pool build is the least of our worries. I just wanted to see if anyone else was experiencing the same delays. Thanks for the reply.:)

    Pool Construction Delay

Is anyone experiencing a delay in pool construction due to COVID19? My pool construction started mid-February and now my pool builder is telling me that he's experiencing shipping delays for the Pentair pool equipment. Did he just order the equipment at the last minute. It's been over two weeks now.

New pool design finalized. Open to suggestions.

Like Kimkats stated, documenting via email is the key. I started communicating via email from the very beginning with the occasional texts. It has come in handy too. I have caught multiple items being done either completely wrong or opposite than what we had previously discussed. Since the...

    Hello everyone!!

I got my initial quote for a 16x32 in-ground gunite pool. There are a couple of upgrades that are included in the total price but it's around $65k. I'm waiting on the builder to verify the 10ft offset from the property line that he initially said is required by the city. I hope this isn't the...

    Hello everyone!!

I currently do not have a pool yet but have been contemplating on getting one. We just had a brand new house built in January of this year and made some adjustments to the overall build with putting a pool in the backyard. For example we had the builder put a door in the back that leads directly...
