Should I seal bottom of my screen enclosure with caulk/silicone?

Our pavers have a bit of a texture to them which creates a small gap between the enclosure frame and the pavers. We have a significant number of gnats / ants inside the screen each morning and I am assuming they are coming in under the screen enclosure: Video of the gnats collecting in our...

Question to anyone who has a screen with pavers ... our pavers have a bit of a texture to them which creates a small gap between the enclosure frame and the pavers. Has anyone used caulk/silicone to seal that gap to keep ants/bugs from entering?

For anyone reading this thread (and made it this far) before signing your contract. Put a timeline in writing if your building will go for it, even if it is 4 months ... we have been waiting at least a month to have our punch list completed. Minor items, but time consuming to follow up and...

Good news: I received my FAS-DPD Drop Test Kit & Speedstir today. Bad News: I just learned my FC is 18 PPM!! Lesson Learned for those building, have your test kit including FAS-DPD ready before you fill your pool. I had backed down my SWG to 30% (from 50%) last week when my TF-100 showed...

Thanks! I see there is a minimum FC, is there a Max? If I were to hit say 10+ would I decrease my salt output?

Just ordered my Taylor Chlorine FAS-DPD test kit + Speedstir. Question on my current chlorine level: I am at 7.5 FC and per my water bill I now know that my pool size is between 20K and 21K (PB estimated 26.5K). I have an iCHLOR 30 SWG which is running at 50% and my Salt Level has been 3150...

Yes I agree with the natural look and from what I read, the time/expense of keeping pavers sealed wasn't worth it.

Hello! We love the the Napoli color and have had several compliments on it. I talked to our local Belgard rep and actually copied what he had for his pool, Napoli pavers and Charcoal coping. He sent us samples which also helped in our decision. they also look great wet!

Looking for any and all feedback on my testing frequency / levels (when should I move non pH tests to weekly?); see attached pic, NT = Not Tested. I'm also reading a lot of opinions on how often I need to shock the pool - we are almost a month with water and have not shocked yet. I took the...

Equipment Question My contract that my pool is to meet or exceed a 6-hour turnover rate. One of the employees from my PB anonymously told me that the equipment I have will not meet this requirement and I cannot remember if he mentioned my filter and/or my pump. My PB estimated pool size to...

Per LED manufacturer recommendation, we had electrician install after the cage was up. Removed the risk of cage installing damaging wire as they added screws, plus makes it easier if we have to replace one of the lights down the road.

I finally tried out my Polaris this morning, had it on for 10 minutes and shut if off. In 10 minutes it managed to get stuck on the twice and managed to spray water everywhere. Is this normal? Are there other options that can be used with the booster pump? ** EDIT: Found a blue part in the...

Nice catch and yes, I do have an iChlor30 and if I need to double the size looks like a 30 still will not cut it. As far as pool size, my water meter didn't have a reading so I wasn't able to measure water per/post fill. My PB provided the following drawings when he gave me our size of 26,500

A couple months ago I mentioned to my PB that I wanted the IC20 SWG upgraded to IC40 (Thanks to @panic_button for pointing this out). Now that we are finishing up our punch list my PB mentioned that an IC20 should be find for our size pool which is 26,500 gallons. I did some research (this...

PB told me yesterday he would upgrade me to the Taylor ... today he dropped off Taylor 2005C - not the 2006C. I googled the difference and sinceI’m new to pool Chem I wasn’t tracking what I was reading. Will this kit meet my needs?

Now that I am at this stage I can only imagine having to go through that mess, YUCK!! I am feeling lucky with our PB, they really came through with walking me through pump startup the day after fill (Saturday) and then coming out today to add chemicals and do most of the startup. The service...

I have a pool place 2 minutes from me that ran the last test, I might run by in the morning to have them check while I see if PB will give me a better kit. I can see why you call them guess strips, in the pics i'm holding the strip next to the bottle and here is my best guess: Hardness...

I believe they added acid but not 100% ... they were out there a few hours getting everything setup. And instead of a 4 in 1 test kit, they left a $15 Aquacheck 7 with 100 strips.
