    Stenner Pump White Stuff

I just replaced my liner (looks great) and started up the filter to balance water chemistry. I turned on my Stenner Pump (3GPD) to run full time and marked the bleach level in the tank. When I checked 12 hrs later the tank level had not changed. T unhooked the output tubing, turned the pump on...

    Checking Chlorine w Stenner

I have had my Stenner for 1-1/2 months and am really happy with the performance (replaced a Liquidator). I have the Stenner on a cheap timer with 1/2 hr increments and had it running for 5 hrs (80 oz) a day maintaining 5.0-5.5 FC. I filled up my tank (reused my LQ tank) and went on vacation for...

    Stenner Run Time

My Stenner has only been running for a week but seems to be holding FC at 5-6 ppm. I have a cheap ($15) timer that only allows 1/2 hr adjustments and I am running my 45MHP2 @ full volume for 5-1/2 hrs in the middle of my 8 hr (11a - 7p) filter pump run time. I expect I will have to add Stenner...

    Stenner 45MHP2 Pump Install

Thanks for the help. I will tie my Stenner into my mechanical Intermatic timer which controls the filter pump so that the Stenner only runs when the pump is on. I ordered the 45MHP2 adjustable pump. My reasoning was that I will try to run the Stenner at 100% and set the pump timer to inject the...

    Stenner 45MHP2 Pump Install

I am ready to order a Stenner Pump to upgrade my bleach addition system from the Liquidator. Is there an advantage to upgrade the supplied tubing from 1/4" to 3/8"? I will go with the black tubing but do not understand what difference the tubing size will make. Also, I'm planning on reusing the...

    Why does my Dolphin float?

It is turned off, not plugged in to anything. The power supply is in my shed.

Silly Newbie question-- what do I do with that plug/weight when vacuuming the pool?

You should have a skimmer cover plate that is the same diameter as your skimmer basket and fits on top of the basket and has a hole in the middle to attach your vac hose.

    Why does my Dolphin float?

When I leave my M400 in the pool it is on the bottom and when I come out the next morning it's floating. I get in and turn it several ways, sideways and upside down, til no more bubbles come out and it sinks to the bottom. Next day it's floating again. Anyone had the same experience and has...

New pool owner and completely clueless

You are doing great! I would save the pucks for when you are away from home and not able to add bleach daily. Walmart price for bleach is FANTASTIC. Jf your water is clear, swim and add bleach in the evening until you get your test kit and know what your numbers really are. Enjoy your new pool...

No water coming through return jets. Possibly due to Cracked Union Nut?

As a temp fix, try wrapping the whole union and nut with plastic/warp-n-seal type wrap to keep air from leaking in. If the union nut is the problem that should allow the pump to prime. Good luck.

What do the wings on the handle of the M5 Dolphin do

From M4 User manual - If unit while scanning turns less than 90 degrees, pull out Left float. If more than 90, pull out Right float. I have not tested this, let us know what you observe.

Maytronics (Dolphin) advanced function aka PRO remote on a Z5 - my testing results.

Please check my logic/thinking on Maytronic Robot controls: All control functions are located in the Power Supply and transmitted to the Robot through the Power/Control cord. Advanced Functions are only available by use of the Remote. Can't select "Floor Only" or "Walls & Waterline" without a...

Want to hire a robot this year so we can swim.

I would call Maytronics (Dolphin) and get their thoughts on what is best for a AG pool. They seem to have great customer service and quality products.

    Dolphin M400/M500 Remote Control

The Dolphin M400 has an optional, at extra cost, basic remote available. The M500 has additional control features like scrub waterline only, that might be available with the M400 since the control/power box has the same part# for the M500 & M400. I'm hoping someone has tried to operate the M400...

    Dolphin M400/M500 Remote Control

As a retired engineer I believe "dragging by the power cord" is never the BEST solution. I think it would also be nice to just clean the waterline if it only costs $10 more. Since you answered a question with a question, I have to ask, are you a politician? :D

    Dolphin M400/M500 Remote Control

I just purchased the Dolphin M400 and after one use I am very happy. I did not get the optional Remote because I didn't think I would use it. I now think it would be nice to have to get the cleaner over to the steps to take it out (I'm not as strong nor flexible as I used to be). The M500 Remote...

Liquidator losing prime + found flow indicator

I have been using the liquidator for 4 years with only minor problems. My 1/4" tubing has begun cracking and I decided to upgrade to 3/8" while replacing the tubing. My Liquidator, filter and pump are above the water level of my IG pool and I have had (rare) problems of the LQ outlet (connected...

LQ- dilution % cycling over time

Another method to consider. I run my pump two periods a day and adjust the time on to get a constant FC reading (at the...

    Vacuuminga pool?

If you have a lot of stuff to vacuum out I would switch to waste, if just a little spot cleaning I leave on filter and backwash when the pressure reaches my backwash level. If you leave on filter and have a lot to clean out the filter pressure will rise rapidly and you will have to backwash...

So you want to add borates to your pool--Why and How

I would like to raise my borate level from 30 to 50 and my numbers are very good except for TA of 60. My PH is 7.3/4 and steady. I found PIC Roach Killer at Walgreens for 2.99/lb, ingredients are Orthoboric acid 99%. Is this OK to use?

    Liquidator "WS" Poll

Looking thru the replies to this thread, of the 10 people who replied with a message, 9 said the WS had no effect on the operation of their LQ. The other 1 did not indicate an effect or not. Does this indicate that the WS is more of a cosmetic problem? I think keithw is the longest user who...

    Liquidator "WS" Poll

I have visible (but slight) WS in my LQ after about 6 weeks but no buildup on the valves nor in the tubing. Most of the WS is on the valve floats. I have not seen an accumulation of anything on the bottom of the LQ. I use 6% store brand bleach. I have 40-50ppm Borates.
