Pool #2. South Texas. Waterfront property.

Not a bad idea at all. Im thinking granite for countertops. Really like the idea of tile for the inside walls. I believe they are going to work on the pavers soon. Hoping that will give my wife a better idea of what it will all look like. Also going to make sure they waterproof both sides of...

    Bleach substitute

I pulled the SDS sheet on it. It’s just 12.5% bleach. Edit: well it also has a small amount of lye. So it may raise your pH more than traditional bleach. https://www.splashwash.com/application/files/1115/8801/7930/SPLASH_12.5_Pool_Shock_SDS.pdf

They have been playing a little more with the travertine coping. I really think it will be nice looking. The large pavers are what we chose, they brought a few to show. I’m thinking granite for the bar. I have granite in the house and thought about making this match. Not sure on that front...

Don’t really know how they did it to be honest. It’s been awhile now and we’ve had some rains to help compact it. It will need manual compaction Before the pavers go down. pool hit a small (non-pool caused) hiccup so we had a delay. Now things are rolling again. So, got a shipment of coping...

Pool sharing in the time of Coronavirus

I wouldn’t do that..just enjoy your pool. I’m told UV light is brutal on the virus (About 3hrs). But don’t open yourself to liability. People are stupid and will inevitably do stupid things. Gotta think about more than covid though...drownings, etc should be a concern if your aren’t hanging...

I haven’t measured it since the rebar went in. I did measure some aspect when they were digging. It satisfies. I did ask for the owner to come over and check out the retaining wall they have setup with rebar. I don’t believe it’s going to be as tall as we had suggested. So want to make sure...

Bleach v corona virus - backup plan?

Guess I should consider going to the store. I have something like 4 months worth of MRE style food, three different cooking fuels, the Gulf of Mexico for protein... Thinking I need to try a bidet. This whole TP thing seems so uncivilized. But my pressure washer may be needed for wed am. (Post...

Spoke with him. He explained the idea. Sink the equipment, allow for drainage. Hide it. I’m now okay with the plan. electrical is likely going to be a second meter. But if we have to we have room to grow in our homes system. I just don’t like the idea of drilling through my concrete houseto get...

    How many pool lights

If you want/need another opinion. I agree with both above you need more lamps. With lighting, there is a trend towards more small lights vs the old one large light. That’s another option you could consider.

A little progress update. IFCS appears to be plumbed. I’m unsure on the location of that little gearbox thing. But I’ve asked for further clarification on the plan. lighting plumbing is going in, returns are going in. Rebar work has begun. The spa shape has changed a bit. See if you can see that.
