Poolside Planters - show them off!

I really would like to put a couple of planters around my plain jane pool, but Im so worried about them tipping or blowing over and making a humongous mess. Im still looking for a couple of planters that are more like boxes than pots, since they would be sturdier, I would think, with less chance...

Cloudy Water - have tried what I think is everything!!

If the cya is 52, you need to round up to 60. At 60 cya, your minimum FC level is 5....that is bare minimum. Recommended target is 7-9 Chlorine / CYA Chart - Trouble Free Pool.

    The perfect day.

Mid July in Florida. We're a little toasty. Went outside this morning, took care of critters and made sure they all have shade to get to. Hopped on the mower and mowed a 2 acre field. Whew, hot and sweaty. Finished up, came in side, changed clothes to proper swimwear (its daytime), no Solar heat...

    What's your current pool temp?

Turned off the solar yesterday and the pool this morning was oh so perfect. Probably 88ish, with it being mid 90's out, it was perfect. I didnt want to get out of the pool, it was so refreshing.

    What's your current pool temp?

Well I had it on as soon as I could (February?) trying to get it up to comfortable temp., which I didnt know what it was. Between then and now was that long stretch of "cant get it warm enough" to "ahh thats nice" to "holy cow! thats hot!".

    I want a swg pool wife wants chlorine ? ? ?

My main reason for getting a SWG was, after reading up a little bit, I didnt want to keep running to town to buy a lot of chlorine, and keeping adding chlorine every day. It was just waaaaay too much effort and work and driving for me. Had that been my only option, Im not sure I would have...

Help! High CYA/Switching to this from pool store testing and chemocals

I read a funny post here onetime about some guy slamming his pool. He had his kids test during the day, since he was at work. Kids knew that testing under slam levels was okay to swim, so when they tested and the number was under slam level, they'd hop in the pool for a bit.....then add chlorine...

    Pushy relatives

I would think they arent taking no for an answer, because you arent saying no. If you are saying no, and they still arent buying it, an "accident in the pool" is a great answer. No one can swim until the pool has been treated.

Clear water ... until I brush!

You might check with your Home Depot again. Mine has curbside pickup. I order online, drive there, park in designated spots, and they bring it out and load it up for me. Walmart too.

Even if you get your FC up to 13, 14, 15, I dont think thats anywhere near so high as to start damaging things. Ive read some slams here that had to keep levels as high as 24, so I wouldnt be worried about getting too high at this point.
