It was not cheap. 1500.00 for framing. Overall I am pleased with it so far but it was a lot of work. About 1/3 way done putting Durock on. We have changed up our idea and now are going with concrete countertops (more work) because it is what we really wanted to begin with. Just won't have...

looking for shade ideas for setting sun

Our yard is aligned east/west and the ~5pm sun setting makes it a bit of a challenge when sitting outside. I am looking at mounting some kind of drop shade on the last rafter of my cover but not sure what I should look at. I was wanting to get something about 10'-15' wide that can lower 6-8'...

I have this one and it is awesome. Got it used for like half price and it was in excellent condition. This year the cord got hung up in a storm and had to cut it to keep my house from blowing away (lol). It was a real pain replacing it once I found the parts online. Not a one man job...

Thanks, we have the portable heater but it is burning holes in our pockets. and it takes up floor space. after reviewing, the clearances on this one above are too high so we are going with a calcanna which only has a 6" clearance from combustibles (patio cover where we are mounting it)...

    Skimmer replacement

Update here. Finally got on the guys schedule to replace my skimmer. I had a tree service scheduled out the same day so they could survey the ground once the deck was cut into. Shockingly there was not a root insight save one about the thickness of my pinky - if that. So what ever buckled...

    Skimmer replacement

I am curious if anyone knows what it takes to replace an inground pool skimmer. I have a neighbor with an Oak Tree that appears to have roots that have cracked my deck and now is impeding on my skimmer. The skimmer is caving in a bit, has cracked and now my pool is leaking. I am going to have...
