I would have drained it too...5 years of poo in that pool, to much muck, but in the end you’ll get there.

You could also use the pool vac, and just clean the filters often, don’t have wait for the 25% pressure increase.

Featured New pool build in Allen TX

Pool coping requires different knowledge than putting stone on stairs...there really is no “pattern” with stone, other than what you think it should be. I think it will look good when it’s done, almost like adding an accent instead of making everything match and blend to blah, but in the end...

    Design/Plan/DIY Build NorCal pool

Need more returns to ”direct” floating stuff towards the skimmers....this will be helped along by the surface winds. If you keep the pool on the shallow end, you don’t need to heat it...mine is 84 today.

Spa dam height Help!?!? Start digging next week...

Slope the edge of the spa, towards the spa, and let it sit as close as possible to pool water level, will look really cool. Like the first picture...that will also prevent the wet/dry cycles of the spa spill-over tile, and make it last longer.

New owner/builder build in Miami, Florida

90oz is good, shorter height has less tendency to lay flat...that said, pick the most natural color....I lean towards the one on the left. PS. It’s hot on the feet...thought you guys in FL has lots of water??

    New Build- Chico Ca

Late to the party, did they install a bond breaker or slip joint on top of the leveled beam prior to pouring the concrete deck? Any tile touching the cantilever concrete decking? The decking will expand / contract causing the tile to pop-off if it’s attached... Looking good...

That is the worst kit in the world you could have spent your well earned money on.....experience with it will result in a crystal clear pool, with minimal chemicals, and quite frankly a boring pool life as you’ll never have the experience to fight with boring!

What waterproofing did you do on the SPA / waterline tile? How long are going to let the shell dry before plaster? What stone is that coping....doing a great job btw, subs seems really good! PS. Put a drain near that pad, so that the water has a place to go when you want to drain some water...

I'm amazed Kim has not reprimanded you for color matching your pool / tile colors - this is your time to shine and there is no POP in that selection, c'mon already! :) PS. Not your fault - for some reason people tends to match all the colors as closely as possible - not sure why :)
