Wow that's expensive. I'm cringing thinking about what my gas bill is going to look like.

Great suggestion. I picked up a bunch at home depot for 50 cents a square. Definitely helps.

It's filled and running! Went for our first swim last night. Picking up some chemicals today to get my water balanced. I feel confident thanks to the TFP pool school and my K2006 kit. Now I just need a robot asap to keep on top of all this sand. I'm leaning towards the s200 based on what I've...

The electrician came yesterday and wired everything up! He was also able to bury our service line and hang a new meter on the house. But, the utility company now wants to replace our pole in the backyard. So he couldn't connect the new service line or remove the old one yet. ? Here's hoping that...

That is an excellent question. To which I have no answer. I do have a cartridge filter, so I won't be back washing. But, I'm sure I will be using that pipe at some point and will need to figure that out.

Well it can't hurt to ask. If he can't fit a diverter valve before the pump suction what are my options as far as air locking the main drain?

I see what you're saying. I've been reading about winterizing procedures today and I see how that would be needed to blow out the main drain. And that article about a heater bypass makes it seem like a no brainer. Based on my setup, does it look like those are two simple changes or do you think...

LOL then I will need tons of Muriatic acid! Already have a Taylor k2005 for my hot tub. Just ordered the k1766. They've made a lot of progress this week. I'll post more pics later today. I'm just a little concerned because I noticed that they used flexible PVC. Will this be a concern...

Our hole in the ground is starting to look like a pool! Is it too early to put my bathing suit on?

    Contracts signed on Long Island

That's good to know. I assumed that it's similar to my hot tub maintenance. With the hot tub I checked the levels every day or so until I got a feel for what it needed. After a while I was able to just know how much chlorine to add daily and check the ph once or twice a week. Once I get a feel...

That's really interesting. Thank you for that. That's the only part of the equipment that I've been on the fence about for that exact reason. How do you find Autopilot otherwise? I've read poor reviews on the app about bad connection and crashing.

Great idea. I'll have them move a light. The electrician is going to bury the lines and move the meter on the day that they hook up the pool equipment.

So after months of silence things have picked up at a blinding pace. The builder came out last Wednesday to talk about the design finally. Then, Thursday they called and said the design will be ready very soon and we can start on Tuesday the 12th. We got the design last night the 11th. Went back...

Hey everyone, just wanted to post an update. Scheduled to dig on 5/15. But, I'm guessing that's getting pushed back. We have an overhead utility wire that needs to be buried and a meter moved. However, the utility company isn't doing any non essential shut offs or meter upgrades right now. So...

    Good spa lift cover?

Now that I've found this website I have pristine hot tub water thanks to the TFP method. So, I'm using the tub a lot more now and I'm getting tired of lifting the cover off the ground, in the cold, barefoot, and wet. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good cover lift?

I know, I wish I had the space for an equipment shed. I don't see how I could fit one in the space that I currently have. But, maybe my PB will have some ideas. I'll mention it to him.
