    Jandy NeverLube Valve

It’s pool finish. My valves are below waterline so a lot flows out when I take the valve apart.

    Jandy NeverLube Valve

I'm going to go clean it out right now and take some pics....I believe it's pool finish (tiny pebble sheen pebbles). It was redone last year.

    Jandy NeverLube Valve

I think I know why I'm getting grit on these valves. When the pump is shut off, water from the straining basket flows backwards through the valves and I'm thinking it's getting caught on the partially opened valves and closed valves...when the valves are reopened, the grit is resting on the...

    Jandy NeverLube Valve

Are you saying find the RPM that the skimmer pulls and holds dirt down and never go below that RPM? Back to original topic for a sec - how am I getting grit in the skimmer valve? This should be sinking to the bottom. Does this mean I have a leak? I'm getting some bubbles when the pump is...

    Jandy NeverLube Valve

    Funny - I was just in the process of modifying this. I’m now trying 6-8am 3000rpm, 8am-sunset 1500rpm, sunset for 2 hours 2500 with spillover, 10-midnight 1500rpm.

    Jandy NeverLube Valve

Thanks! I'll get some ordered. My other battle is getting a good skim on my new VS pump, finding that right RPM that gets it done.

    Jandy NeverLube Valve

Hello all - love this forum - you guys are awesome! Just installed Jandy valves on my vacuum side about a month ago. I keep finding that they're getting full of grit when you turn them. I've opened them up once before and cleaned them out and they're starting to show some wear on the seals...

    Zodiac Z4 and Intelliflo VS

I set AUX3 to cleaner and then it allowed me to setup a speed for that mode. Winning!!

    Zodiac Z4 and Intelliflo VS

Thank you AJW!!! That did it! I also setup my solar for 3450rpm and added it to AUX3 so I can run at full pump if needed. Speed1-8 didn’t seem to do it. I actually don’t have solar heat. Now I just need to play around with it to see what combo affects pump speed. Like spillover is 2000rpm...

    Zodiac Z4 and Intelliflo VS

Hey guys, thanks for the help. My spillover is controller but JVA. I can set this up with a schedule but cannot find a way to manually change to spillover without manually switching my return JVA. Example, often times I like to run the spillover with pool heat so we get a lot of spa heat with...

    Zodiac Z4 and Intelliflo VS

Hi All, I recently installed an Intelliflo VS with my Zodiac Z4. I have the control cable ran and I'm understanding that the panel on the pump is locked out with the Z4 in charge. I have setup my pump speeds and am working through that just fine. My question - is there away (outside of...

    Propane Heater Tips and Tricks

Hi guys, sorry for the confusion. The boost mode I referred to is marked on the Hayward valve, which really just bypasses the filter. So my real question is any harm in running bypassed for eight hours or so to get max heat?

Would it be better to heat the spa in a closed loop, then dump it into the pool?

Pool cover isn't an option for us but thanks guys! I'm pretty sure it's 400K BTU. Looking for some real thermal dynamics suggestions.

    Propane Heater Tips and Tricks

Hi all - love this forum! We have a 20k gal pool with a propane heater. The pool also has a spa spill over. The spa heats up in about 30 minutes which is great but heating the pool is rather expensive. Looking for tips to heat the pool the best way. Here are some things I've toyed with...

    Jandy Actuator Question

Hi All - I have moved into a home with a Zodiac Z4 with 2 Jandy Actuators to go from pool to spa. I'm up to speed on the actuators and all that happens and have even recently serviced them. I'm looking to solve an issue I'm not sure is possible. My spa is a spill over into the pool. In spa...
