    Unable to balance

For the app, first log your test results when you do the water tests. Click "new log" then "log test results". Fill in any numbers you tested (leave blank ones you did not test) and click the check mark to save. Now your test results should be on the "overview" page. They will list time since...

Just Bought a 26' Intex - Looking for suggestions on upgrades as I start the planning/build process

Curious, what sort of base did you have under the pool? Without foam, and a type of soil sufficiently hard, they probably aren't needed... Intex doesn't call for them on the round pools, only for the retangular pools. I won't skip them on furture pools myself though, and don't recommend...

The downside to water clarity is you perfectly see all the junk at the bottom of your pool!

OH YEAH! One of the friends we had over for the weekend asked if there was chlorine in the pool! Obviously, there was, but unlike commercial pools, you can't smell it. That, and water clarity, are probably the two best things about TFP pools.

Just converted from baquacil to chlorine and have been told I have a chlorine lock

The FC and CC tests will always turn pink if left to sit. If you were to not add the CC testing reagent immediately after testing FC, the test would start going pink there as well. When doing these tests, the endpoint is as soon as it goes clear. Do the FC test, and as soon as it's clear add the...

Intex Sand Filter/Pump Slowly loses flow

Yes, that's not mutually exclusive. I think what he was getting at is cloudy water is often a chemistry problem (things are growing) rather than dirt. For example, on my hot tub if I failed to add chlorine for a while before I had a SWCG the water would inevitably go cloudy.

Just Bought a 26' Intex - Looking for suggestions on upgrades as I start the planning/build process

I forgot to mention the ladder is a high priority upgrade. After looking at some threads here on TFP I bought a Confer Plastics 7200 plus the required ladder adapter kit for rigid soft sided pools. Found the ladder for $275 shipped from intheswim and the ladder adapter kit was $58 from Confer...

Intex Sand Filter/Pump Slowly loses flow

Sounds like the filtwr getting plugged. The one on mine can do that very quickly. It can be fine for days if nobody is in the pool, but a bunch of people getting in and out tracking in dirt and I literally had it go to almost no flow in a matter of hours. A quick backwash foowed by a quick...

So, I need: A proper skimmer. A robot or other auto cleaner. The biggest issue is leaves, which, as there is no skimmer, eventually sink and pool in the middle. They also start breaking down and leaving leave bits in all the seams and wrinkles. The pool came with a garden hose powered vacuum...

    AGP Rust from SWG

Not a problem for the OP...cause the warranty is void if any part of the pool is buried, and they are going to bury it 2'. 😁

'Hibernate'/Shut Down Hot Tub for the Summer

Depending on your specific model there may be a drain valve inside. If I remove the equipment panel on mine, there is a drain hose with valve that will not only empty the spa, but drain both motors as well. If you drain (probably the easiest option), shut the power off. You should have a...

Low flow Intex sand filter pump

Did it originally flow fine? If so, what's the pressure gauge reading compared to what it did when it used to flow fine? When you rinse after backwashing how does the flow to waste compare with that during backwashing?

    AGP Rust from SWG

I'd be much more concerned about rust from burying an above ground pool that's not rated to be buried than I would be from adding a SWCG.

    Picking up home fermentation/brewing

Carbonation at room temp (~70 °F) at 28 psi worked well. I connected the kegs, shook for a while till the regulator stopped hissing, then left on the regulator for a few days. Once I got my kreezer working I bled off all the pressure in the headspace, connected both kegs to the manifold and...

    Picking up home fermentation/brewing

If you didn't realize I didn't know what yeasts to get so I just got all the yeasts you mentioned, plus one cider specific yeast I saw. Well, my kreezer is done for now. Two taps, 4 shanks, a 6-way CO2 manifold. Just needs more kegs and two more faucets. I have an extra hole on the left to...

Spa that EASILY converts from 110v to 220v and vice versa?

Just keep in mind choosing a spa the total heating power it has. We loved using our spa in the winter, but it has a big beefy heater and two beefy pumps and requires 50 A, 240 V service. I've used it down to about 1 °F (-17 °C) and it still seemed capable of holding temp uncovered. I don't think...

    PLEASE HELP!!!

I wish you luck. We were lucky and scored a deal on a pool in January. Now I'm looking for accessories like better manual or robot vaccums, lights, etc. All sold out or for sale on some obscure site for 2-4 times the normal price. Problem is a two for one wammy caused by COVID. Factories making...

Just Bought a 26' Intex - Looking for suggestions on upgrades as I start the planning/build process

I'm finally going through receipts now. I have a rough number but I need to reconcile everything with my bank statements as there's probably a few things missing. Keeping in mind this total includes some stuff for the pool, like the foam and wood blocks, and also tools (auger and air nailer...

Just Bought a 26' Intex - Looking for suggestions on upgrades as I start the planning/build process

He stuck his head in the backwash stream coming out of the pump, jumped back, and looked all shocked he got soaked! Skimmer, ha! I do really want one. It would keep a lot of things off the floor of the pool by catching them before they sink. But there's only so much time in a day... I'm trying...

Just Bought a 26' Intex - Looking for suggestions on upgrades as I start the planning/build process

We got a lot of rain really fast while I was at work. I estimate 2.5-3" at least. The pool started overflowing. Everything around the pool, being low as I haven't had time to start filling it in, filled up with water. Magnet dog. I backwashed the filter since I had water that needed to...

It's not perfect, he still can contort and reach it, but he rarely does it and if I see him and say "NO" he stops immediately and doesn't try again when I turn away. It seems to be healing very nicely. Also, I have some timelapse videos coming up once they upload to YouTube and I edit them a bit.
