Pool Vac XL Stays in Deep End

oh you only have the one skimmer? Hypothetically, if you reversed the jets, partially closed the main, the vacuum would be covering the entire pool (Potentially) and the skimmer would have more suction so the direction wouldn't affect it as much? Idk, just thought it might be worth a try. - -...

Easier way to prime vacuum hose?

Yah I do it both ways, your way for inground pools is easiest cuz there is never a return right next to the skimmer. LOL Glad things worked out HopeRyan!

Easier way to prime vacuum hose?

These are suction cleaners and that is how they come, the hoses are in sections and you have to assemble. They are lighter and move easier than a typical vacuum hose. Here's an example: Automatic Inground Above Ground Swimming Pool Cleaner Vacuum Hose Climb Wall Set | Onebigoutlet.com

Easier way to prime vacuum hose?

I always assemble the hoses first then prime all at once....they've never come apart... I attach the assembled hoses to the vac, put the vac in the water, hose goes next, then I hold the hose up to the eyeball return until all the air bubbles come out through the vac and it drops to the bottom...

Robotic cleaner for an old IGP

One of my clients uses this: POOLVERGNUEGEN Manufacturer of the finest automatic swimming pool cleaners -- The PoolCleaner And it works great, it goes into one of the skimmers (you have to be able to isolate each intake line to increase suction to the chosen skimmer). It doesn't climb walls...

    Robotic cleaner for pool opening?

Howdy Neighbor - No I don't think you'll have much luck with that. They work great for maintenance but not for that good cleaning they need around here. It would probably be better to find a service that will do a one time spring vac job.

    Robotic Pool Cleaner $300 Budget

You need to close the main drains and just draw from the skimmer. You will hear a "clicking" noise and see it start to move. Make sure it's flat on the bottom.

    Robotic Pool Cleaner $300 Budget

Have you considered a suction side "crawley" type? I'm not a fan of 'robot' vacuums. Too many parts inside that go bad and break.

Harmony Robotic pool cleaner and chlorine generator

First I'll just say if you're gonna spring for a salt system, get one that's got a proven reputation and a known brand that has been around awhile. I've never heard of this item and had to google it. I'm not a big fan of robot vacuums to begin with, so maybe I'm baised. Here's where I see...

    Polaris 280 vs Mustard Algea

What I would suggest then, is try maintaining your FC levels at the "Yellow/mustard" levels according to this chart: http://www.troublefreepool.com/chlorine-cya-chart-t2346.html And perhaps use maintenance doses of Polyquat 60 algaecide... It might be more expensive operating this way but you...

    Polaris 280 vs Mustard Algea

The only thing that will prevent the algae and get rid of it properly is adequate chlorine. A pool cleaner is not going to help. Shocking will kill mustard algae, if done properly. Have you read "How to Shock your pool" in Pool School? If you post a full set of test results, and tell us more...
