    Towel storage ideas for outside

I saw a really cute idea that used a pallet. They installed hooks on it for towels and noodles can be stored inside. I'll see if I can find a pic.

    Arkansas pool

I recommend you upload photos using or similar host site. Select the 'large' size when you upload. It's free, and then you copy the IMG code and paste it in your message here. Then you aren't limited on your pics space/size.

Shockingly enough - 84, without the aid of the heater (which may be shot by the way....) Took my first swim yesterday! :)

How my pool looked when I bought it

Very good! I expect much of the organic staining will continue to fade overtime... a little concerned with the VERY dark areas though. Boy that sure is dramatic were the Vac head has removed the gunk!

overhead lighting for new pool owner

Ok, I'm curious about the Smartpool nitelite. So you just hang it over the side or what? IT's not an electrical hazard, having it in there hanging from the cord?

overhead lighting for new pool owner

Yes, but they will be pretty localized to the light itself. I don't think swimmers in the pool will be bothered by them.

overhead lighting for new pool owner

I concur about the bugs. We have a tripod flood light that we sometimes bring out for parties and what not - for safety reasons we move it far enough away that no one will accidently touch/trip on it, it does attract the bugs though -but at least they are by the light and not by the pool. Of...

    Landscaping ideas

As soon as my plumbing is hooked up in a couple of days I'll show you our valve that we use to close our bottom drain - it's got a hookup for an air pump so we can blow out the lines. Obviously with lines under cement you have the potential for having to dig it up to reach buried lines. I...

    Offset Umbrellas

Oh, gosh I just bought one but haven't put it up yet. I hope I don't hate it... mine doesn't have the sand base tho- this one bolts to the deck floor (but that means I can't move it easily....) Is it full? Can you add more sand? I know they say not to use it when the winds are up. LOL round...

    Umbrellas - $79 to $1000+ ??

I've never spent more than $200 on an umbrella and it seems like right around the time the fabric begins to look bad, something mechanical breaks too. I end up replacing the umbrella every 2-3 years, the original set umbrella lasted 3-4 I think and it broke where you can tilt the umbrella...

    Grill Recommendations ???

My Weber Silver Genisis has caught fire several times. The design of the grease trap allows grease/drippings to build up into this thick layer, which then catches fire when the grill preheats. Now we know to clean that out more often, but the first 3 times it was very scary, the grill is on...
