What is the actual difference between Hayward SWG systems?

Now that clears up a few things. So I guess I will replace my system with another T-15. It now sounds very logical the way you say it with your experience. Less run time but more output of chlorine which should make cell last longer. That is why my cell is still going well after 9 years but...

What is the actual difference between Hayward SWG systems?

I have a small 11,000 gallon inground pool with a aging (9 yrs) Goldline SWG system with a T-15 cell. I have looking in getting a complete new Hayward system. The Salt cells T3 produce .53 lbs of chlorine daily for up to a 15,000 gallon pool T5 produces ? for...

    Hayward Goldline SWG replacement.

I thought so also that the larger number cell would put out more and have to work less but data shows the number of plates and size are identical. So are you saying that they only have a T-3 and T-15 cells now? I have a true Goldline product with software version 1.40

    Hayward Goldline SWG replacement.

I have had my Gold Line SWG system installed in my new pool in 2008. It was with a T-15 Cell and my inground pool is only 11,000 gallons. Now being in Arizona and all the heat and sun I can see why maybe I needed a T-15 cell which produces more Chlorine. Now my questions relates to the T5, T9...

Getting started for the second time

Hi Everyone, It has been many years since I was here last. Sorry but all was going great after learning how to maintain my pool here. THX. My return/revisit today is that I plan on draining 50% of my pool after 7 years. The reason is because my chlorine is being eaten up and my CYA has gotten...

Pools Open for the season... In Arizona anyway.... LOL

Well, after a long winter we finally opened our pool yesterday. Nice and clean and all the numbers normal after a bit of acid. Water temp during the day is 80-83 degrees and jumped in yesterday to check out all my popup heads. Oh water temp is naturally heated by the cool days in...

How long did your SWG Cell last before replacement?

WOW! So you run your pool pump 8 hrs a day year round. Hate to see your electric bill. During the winter I run 45% 4hrs every other day and it maintains the clear water as well at 1.5 to 2.5 Chlorine levels. Late Spring and summer months I run it at 65% 4 hours a day every day and maintains 1.5...

How long did your SWG Cell last before replacement?

I clean mine when needed. I just asked as it seems that I have to increase my percentage of time on to get a set result of chlorine. I was just wondering how long they last. 7 years is really along time. I'm planning on finding a replacement and maybe keep this one as a backup. Thanks

How long did your SWG Cell last before replacement?

I was just curious if the SWG decrease production over the years. I have one that is 4 1/2 years old and seems to put out less than it did when new. Should I start looking for a new one? How long did your Goldline/Hayward SWG Cell last before you replaced it?

    SWG chlorine output rating

Just for one example. My Goldline SWG has been running for 3 years now. Being in Arizona we run the pumps and SWG probably 6-8 hrs a day from June 1 to Sept 30 The rest of the year 2 to 4 hrs average a day I figured I have run the cell close to 4,500 hours and it is still going strong. I...

Goldline Auqu Rite system Version number

I have a Goldline Aqua Rite system with a R1.40 firmware number on the screen. I have a chance to buy a almost new panel with a R1.10 firmware number. Should it work ok? Can you get any updated firmware or I really don't need to worry. Thanks

Scale/Calcium is falling off the tiles

Well I finally figured out where the white flakes were coming from. I increased the time the pool pump stays on as well as the SWG. The scale was coming off of the SWG cell and was entering the pool by the 2 closest return lines in the wall. So the heavy usage helped clean my SWG. All is well...

Scale/Calcium is falling off the tiles

I do have a white ring around the pool on the tiles at water level. I was jsut thinking it might be relseased from the tile for some weird chemical reaction. It isn't salt but it is some large flakes that I can pickup and break in my hand easily. I know this sound weird but all I can think is it...

Scale/Calcium is falling off the tiles

I'm 99% sure it is calcium deposts falling off the tile. It is thin flakes. All I can think is the water is doing it. Never seen this before. Has anyone seen this happen before?

Scale/Calcium is falling off the tiles

Today I noticed a lot of white flakes at the bottomof my salt pool. FC =4 CC = 0 pH = 7.6 TA = 90 CYA = 80% Hardness 250 This has been my normal for many months but last night we had a rain storm which raised the level above the normal level. I think the scale is coming off the tile around the...

    Goldline SWG gone bad?

FOUND THE SOLUTION "To maintain maximum performance, it is recommended that you open and visually inspect the cell every 3 months or after cleaning your filter. The Aqua Rite® will remind you to do this by flashing the "Inspect Cell" LED after approximately 500 hours of operation. After you...

UPDATE UPDATE 18 hours after adding 50% concentration algaecide All my pool water numbers are the same with chlorine levels have not decreased overnight still a strong 5 pH 7.6 and the water has cleared up very nicely. All floor and wall stains are gone but I decided to sweep again all...

    Dead Algae not filtering out?

I also agree that I do not think you have killed the algae and need another treament of algaecide. Make sure your ph is in the 7.4 to 7.6 range then shock the pool up to Chlorine to 5. Then add your algaecide and keep filtering for another 24 hours. Clean filter again.

I just had a similiar issue with my pool. Seems that the water was clear. Chlorine FC and TC was 3 pH wa 7.8 TA was 110 CYA 99% I started to notice green patches between the tiles below water level as well as dark dirt stains on the floor and walls of the pool. I swept but it seemed not to...

    Staining between floor and walls

I don't beleuve it is iron or I would have heard more from friends in the area. I think it is just dirt stains and we will see if it gets reduced when we get into the water. My temp is about 78 degrees today and should be at 80 shortly. Thanks
