    RJ45 or RJ60 ?

Yeah, my electrical knowledge is almost nil and I had a plug at the pool. So I basically asked if that was an option for this electically challenged guy. They said yes, and I have had a great SWG for over a year now.

    RJ45 or RJ60 ?

Back when I ordered my RJ45+ a year ago (on the $1 upgrade sale too), I asked them to put a plug on it and set it to 120 VAC. They sent mine ready to go and I just plugged it into my 110v plug with my pump.

    New Puppy and Pool

Kimkats basically followed the same technique we used with our Golden Retriever puppy. I took her into the pool with me and carried her to one side of the pool. I then let her start swimming while I moved to the exit stairs in the pool. She swam towards me until her feet hit the stairs and...

Help me pick a circupool SWG

Well if you have a AGP like mine, I run my CSI in the -.99 range. Calcium is not needed for pools with liners. I never expect to have any calcium build up on my SWG.

I look forward to hearing your report back. I am the inquisitive challenged.

Help me pick a circupool SWG

Brett, I just wanted you to know that my RJ-45+ has worked flawlessly. I love being able to see it making chlorine (clear SWG cell) and be able to adjust it in 5% increments. My pool is a bit larger than yours, so I did opt for the larger size SWG. I do like the ability to check the water...

    Why a Robot?

Dan, I put my robot in the pool any time I have any debris on the bottom of the pool. This usually equates to once or twice every two weeks. This takes away the necessity of having to vacuum and brush down my pool. The robot does that for me. Basically, I place it in the pool, turn it on...

    Ahhhsome Question

Ahhsomeguy, Thanks for replying. It is nice to see the manufacturers online supporting their product. I did not want to imply that the result was insignificant, but rather it was not as dramatic as I have read from others for my particular tub. I was pleasantly surprised.

    Ahhhsome Question

I just treated my spa for the first time. I had never treated it before so I was expecting the worst. Ahhhsome was a gel, which surprised me. I placed three teaspoons in my spa while it was running full bubbles and water at perfect levels. It bubbled a lot and I got some bubbles that were...

    Temp

My circupool RJ45+ seems to stop making chlorine whenever the pool temp drops to 60 or below. That temperature is read by the circupool not off my insta-read thermometer. Usually they are within 2 degrees of each other.

    SWG pool. PH keeps increasing

Woodsy27, Here is the link about what levels you should have in a SWG, Chemical Levels. You really need a real test kit so that you actually know what your levels are.

    Considering an SWG

I am similar to Rancho. Last year I kept great records on what I needed to do to adjust my SWG chlorine production. By the end of the season, I was checking maybe once a week just to make sure. This season, I dialed it in according to what I had last year, and presto! My pool is perfect and...

Switching to SWG - Need Help with "Which One"

To add on to what Mguzzy said, the nice part is once you reach your salt goal, you are set unless you have overflow or lots of rain. Salt basically stays constant. This year I added a few bags right before opening. However at $7 a bag for a seasons worth of chlorine, it is worth it! Enjoy...

Switching to SWG - Need Help with "Which One"

This is my one year anniversary with the RJ45+ and I love it. No problems and at setting of 20%, it keeps my 20K pool sparkling clear,

    Installed New Circupool Edge 40

I agree totally with AJW. Raise that FC level until your SWG is operational. No reason to worry about algae while we are preparing for swim season. Settings like the TA and CYA will need to be played with once you get your SWG up and going. I find a lower TA of around 60 (mine is 70...

CircuPool RJ series Spring Time Gotcha

My pump runs 24/7 at low speed. My SWG and the pump are on the same circuit. So if the pump's power is knocked off, the SWG's power is as well. With those precautions and the flow valve, I do not worry at all.

    What's your current pool temp?

Not as lucky as PoolBrews. Here in the Panhandle the temp is at 74 degrees. Getting close to swim time.

CircuPool RJ series Spring Time Gotcha

Well when it started getting colder and the pool water dropped into the 60's, my CircuPool SWG started giving strange error messages starting with the word "Temp" and the generator light started blinking. These forums once again came to my aid and quickly identified that the controller error...

    Chrome and the Forum

I am having a very weird problem with the Chrome browser and my new Surface Pro 7. When bringing the forum up in Chrome only the top half of the screen contains the forum unless I scroll to the bottom of the forum. Once I hit the bottom of the forum and scroll back up towards the top of the...

    CYA readings with PHOTOS....

I have had terrible trouble with the "Standard" solution. When I first got it, I was able to accept the 50 CYA reading. A week later and it was completely different with the 50 line clearly showing the black dot at the bottom. Now I just forget about the "Standard" and go until I no longer...

    Circupool Edge vs RJ series

To tell you the truth, I look at water temp and salt level the most on my RJ-45+. That way I know when I am getting close to needing salt or when the RJ will stop producing chlorine because of water temp. Also having the water temp is nice to know BEFORE you jump in come Spring. :)

Flu/Sick = Green pool = Installing SWG this week. Any advice welcome

RQ, You must be in southern Florida because it is cold up in the Panhandle. Well cold for me. Not Pittsburg cold, Sean. But still cold. /smile One of the things you need to know about your new SWG is that once your water temperature goes below approximately 60 degF, the SWG no longer...

How to mark ALL as read?

Don't leave everyone hanging. You need to tell how you resolved a situation in case someone else has the same question. For me, I select the "What's New" tab on the left side and then "Mark All Read".

    I'm about done with SWG

Hmm... I wonder what I did differently than most with my pH? Mine never seems to rise though I run my SWG 24/7. Of course I haven't had my SWG a year yet, so I will refrain on commenting on the other aspects of the OP. However I have been on 2 - two week vacations, 1 wedding (week long), and...

Giving up on pool - how much work is a hot tub?

I agree with the above. I have a 27' AGP and a large hot tub. I have had a hot tub, not the same one, for over 25 years. I love them and use mine just about every night. There is nothing like having a glass of wine sitting under the stars while the hot tub massages your worries away. Now...

How did you decide which pool to buy?

cj133, The walls are steel, but the hope is that the supports will last. Salt air is just a burden for living in Paradise. Eventually it will need to be replaced but the hope is that the composite supports and top rail will make it last a bit longer. ;) I suppose all type of filters have...

    Above ground pool steps

I have to second this statement. I used bungees for several summers too. However it only took one time for one to deteriorate and drop to the bottom of the pool when Flipper the robot sucked it up and seized the motor. Good luck Casey but be careful. :)

    Dolphin/Maytronics recommendation

I have the Dolphin Nautilus Plus and have had no complaints. I even had a bungee cord come loose from a float that the Nautilus ate up freezing its motor. I sent it in for repairs and within a week, it was up and cleaning again like a pro. Just stick it in the pool, turn it on, get a beer...
