Stenner installation with buried tank for AZ heat

If you need a 15 gallon, there is a "Barrel Pusher" in PHX who sells them cheap. Only used once for syrup.

Stenner installation with buried tank for AZ heat

JK, Looks nice. A couple of comments: 1. I would probably have gone with a 15 gallon for the Chlorine. 2. Make sure your Chlor and Acid vent don't terminate the same place (Chlorine gas when mixed. Not the healthiest) 3. If you ever have the Stenner pumps run without the Pump running, it looks...

    Stenner Econ T?

There is no access panel per se. In order to get to the battery you have to open up the main housing. It’s held by 2 screws. You can do it without unscrewing the pump from the Nema box, but I find it easier just to unscrew the pump and deal with it in the comfort of my home.

Stenner installation with buried tank for AZ heat

Yep. That’s a nice simple solution. Gives purpose to the bucket of rocks I’ve already collected from the yard that I didn’t know what to do with 😂

Stenner installation with buried tank for AZ heat

Time will tell. I might need to tie it down just to make sure. It was pretty windy the other day and the shade was completely unaffected, but of course if the wind hits just right you never know. I was concerned that the wind coming over the front wall would create some lift on the shade, but...

Stenner installation with buried tank for AZ heat

Finally got around to making one. The tall wall to the neighbor creates a lot of shade, so I elected to keep it easily accessible. I still have hinges so I can lift it up, but the majority of maintenance I can accomplish without.

Black Algea Killer and Chlorine Consumption

Yes, it’s Leslie’s Black Algea Killer. I had something from before I started using liquid Chlorine and noticed some of the Black Algea had returned, so I gave it a treatment and my Chlorine level went way down.

Black Algea Killer and Chlorine Consumption

Is it normal for chlorine consumption to go through the roof when treating your pool with Black Algea Killer?

    Stenner Econ T?

The EconT doesn't have an option for a return line. Only the higher end models. I made the following mod to the box I am using for my EconT. Initially I just had the overflow line return into the Chlorine tank, but then the chlorine vapors is venting into the box with the pump and I didn't think...

Stenner installation with buried tank for AZ heat

How did you attach the sun screen material to the PVC? Ran into a little hiccup. My sidewall is angled 67.5 degrees. Obviously can’t get an elbow joint in that angle. Some places online have 22.5 angle joints, but I haven’t been able to locate one of those in any stores.

Stenner installation with buried tank for AZ heat

Yes, that have crossed my mind as well. I think I would have to come up with some sort of support in the middle and I can’t very well flip it over since I have plants on the other side, but maybe some sort of support to keep it open at a 45 degree angle or so.

Stenner installation with buried tank for AZ heat

Yes, I guess I could do that, but it’s still quite the distance from back to front. I’ve also considered an angled shade sail so I could walk under it, but I would have to enforce the walls significantly, make an alu skeleton or bury some poles.

Stenner installation with buried tank for AZ heat

Thanks guys. Yes, Arizonarobs solution would be easier, but I’m afraid it would be too big for my application. I think I have more distance between the back wall and the front wall:

How is that pvc/shade cover holding up? I was considering doing something similar. Any recommendations?

    Pool Heater Banging Sound

It’s pretty flimsy plastic, so I would imagine it’s pretty normal for it to break.

    Pool Heater Banging Sound

It was the internal Bypass valve and it’s actually pretty easy to replace. Just unscrew the manifold where they external pipes connect and it can be taken out and replaced easily. Part is like $40-50 on Amazon.

    Taylor SpeedStir Holder

I got tired of dropping the glas on the floor every time I was carrying the SpeedStir around, so I designed a holder for it. Feel free to use if you have a 3D printer: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3677500

    Pool Heater Banging Sound

My pool heater will make a loud banging sound on occasion indicating that the water inside is boiling. My initial finding is that my low pressure switch is not working correctly since I used to get a LO indication and the heater would turn off if I turn the outside bypass valve creating a low...

Stenner liquid chlorine pump - How to choose and install

Yes, chlorine consumption is pretty crazy in AZ. In the heat of the summer, my pool requires 3PPM/day in the winter months where temperature is more comparable to other peoples summer it needs about 0.6PPM/day. Scared me a bit when I initially started doing this in the summer and saw I used 10...
