Going on vacation for a week. Should I add the chlorine pucks to a floater or inside the automatic chlorine feeder?

Hi, I'm actually using 12.5% bleach. So bring it up to slam and put in a few pucks, like 4? And this should keep my pool with FC until I get back? Feeling worried I will come back to a messed up pool ! lol

And how much should I add? I tried to use the effect of adding, but I don't understand it. The pucks are Leslie Pools 99 % Tri-Chlor, 3 inch 8 ounce each. My average liquid added each date is 1 quart 2 cups. Thank you. FC 8.0 CC 0.0 CYA 50 PH 7.8 This is my feeder below.

First time using the K-2006 and need a little help.

Yesterday my FC 4.0 and today FC 4.5 , CC still 0.0 which I'm happy about. I was shooting for max target of FC 8.0 for a CYA of 50. So now I'm wondering did my FC actually go up to 8.0 after adding the amount of bleach per PoolMath? I will add the bleach again now per PoolMath and maybe check...

Can a huge rain storm drop my CYA from 55/60 to 35?

Can a huge rain storm drop my CYA from 55/60 to 35?

Okay, lol, so 40 it is. I'm kind of happy about this because I will use less liquid chlorine and when I go on vacation in a few weeks I can use some pucks and not have to worry too much about the rise with the CYA... I think I'm right about this.

Can a huge rain storm drop my CYA from 55/60 to 35?

Went away for a day and did not add chlorine yesterday and there was a huge rain storm that gave us a few inches. My CYA really dropped and my CC is up at 2.0 .. should I be okay just adding my chlorine? Pool water looks amazing. FC 2.0 CC 2.0 PH 7.6 TA 90 CYA 35

IceShadow, your right, I did overshoot. I thought the granular wasn't doing a thing because my husband said it was like in the shed for 2 seasons!!! I do need to add some water, should I do this first and maybe it will bring down the CYA a little?

Okay test today after adding stabilizer on Saturday to bring up CYA and removed chlorine pucks from chlorinator feeder, no longer want to use them. per pool math adding 128 ounces of stabilizer should have too my reading on prior of CYA 0 to CYA 40 , but it's higher, should I be overly...

Should I do an overnight test for chlorine lost still with these readings? And how can I figure out how much liquid bleach to add daily, do I need to test everyday? I don't want to use the pucks anymore since they will raise my CYA ( will use when on vacation)

Per pool math added 128 oz liquid stabilizer and 1 cup of bleach (FC was at 2.5) Just now I went to test ... by the way not using chlorine pucks, I removed them yesterday. Concerned I have no CC 10ML water sample on K2006 FC 5.5 that really jumped for only adding 1 cup CC 0 CYA should be 40...

Should I do an overnight chlorine test tomorrow night to see if I lose it during the night ? Or what should my next step here be. I don't want to use the chlorine tabs/pucks any more unless I go on vacation, I will use liquid bleach daily. Thank you. Today FC 2.5 added 1 cup 4 oz to bring up to...

Just came back from buying 2 gallons of liquid stabilizer, yup $$! So per the Pool Math App, to get from 0 to 40 I added 2 gallons to my 27 round, 18,500 AG pool. I diluted each gallon in a 5 gallon bucket and slowly added in front of outlet. So I will check again the FC and CC tomorrow evening...

okay lol. I just was looking up liquid stabilizer vs granular, I was thinking now I have to run out and grab more, maybe buy liquid and I will get faster results? and more $$ I'm sure. Also, I read someone posted that testing should be done a week after for CYA results?

I actually did the sock method yesterday, read it on this forum :) I was just thinking its not granular so maybe I didn't need to do this.. I will do the sock method again and will not follow follow back of container. So I will just wait to retest once all the stabilizer is completely gone from...

Because I misread the the amount (no readers on lol) , I put too little stabilizer in my newly filled pool yesterday. Today's I tested with the K2006 and the FC is 2.5 but the CYA remains at 0. And if it is powder form can I just mix in a bucket with warm water and toss into pool? Water clear...

I've been lucky with those pucks for 12 years until last year, algae, first time it wasn't overly bad, I caught it as I noticed what looked like sand at the bottom of pool and when I went to vacuum it dispersed like a cloud, what a pain in the but it was. So now with a new liner, new water and...
