solar cover Standard Blue, Clear, Black & Blue Silver

This has been hotly debated in the past. They all work well. Most of the improvement is because the cover will prevent evaporation, which is the main source of heat loss. Evaporation is prevented regardless of the color. Any difference because of the color is small.

Standard 12 mil blue/silver give the best bang for the buck. thinner ones will only last about a season, thicker ones don't last enough addiional time to justify the higher price and, since the purpose of a cover is to prevent heat loss by evaporation at night and NOT to heat the pool during the day (uncovering the pool is FAR more effective) the color is moot.

"uncovering the pool is FAR more effective"

So uncovering the pool is better for heating as long as it sunning???

Thx Mike
