I have a 2018 Sundance Peyton hot tub.
It was out of service for several months due to a leak and finally got around to fixing it.

Upon fixing the leak I now have a noise pump. It is a single speed pump (Century 6500-352). I suspect the bearings are bad due to corrosion after sitting idle and empty.

Lesson learned. Find the leak and fix it to avoid this headache.

I have found Jacuzzi brand pump as well as some others such as LX and Hydromaster.

Are these LX and Hydromaster brands as equally good or even better? Cost is $300 for these brands vs $600 for Jacuzzi brand.

Well, a rebuild is usually less than $150. Just my first thought.😉
Noise can be alot of things. I'd suggest you be certain it is what you suspect before buying anything. Unless your leak was the shaft seal of that pump, I have my doubts.
Many sundance pumps are proprietary, and built to certain specs not found in other brands. This is a fairly common practice. Be sure the new pump will work.
For example, one manufacturer made a motor at 22.5 degrees off level on the thru-bolts, then bolted an adapter ring to square it up again to then bolt to a wet-end using a different size bolt that nothing else fits. All to force you to buy marked-up parts from them. Sundance likes a 45 degree wet end, so make sure before you buy. I'm not sure what's in a 2018.

Ok. I am finally back home and got some more info from the pump and some photos.

The leak was from a LED light housing which has now been replaced and leak stopped. The pump doesn’t indicate any leaking.

I’ll work on getting a link to the awful noise it makes but sounds like rocks in a can. It does not appear to leak any water though. I ran it for an hour while cleaning the system with ahhsome.

How do I know which rebuild kit to buy? awful sound comes from the end closer to the pump. likely the bearings are shot?

Maybe it is. Check the impeller.

You don't buy a kit, you take it to an electric motor shop where they replace bearings, seal, and capacitor.

likely the bearings are shot?
Maybe. Bad bearings usually make a grinding, growling, or squealing sound. Again, I'd be sure what it is before throwing money at it. Take it out and see what you find, or take it to a shop.
