Aiper has some new robots

Sorry, one more question. You said you returned it... any difficulty doing that since you had used it?
I bought it at Amazon, never an issue with them. Did not credit until they actually received it. Normally it will credit as soon as it's dropped off.

Id still be skeptical about aiper. working in the industry Ive heard more complaints compared to compliments. a common phrase Ive seen thrown around regarding them is you get what you pay for.....

Seems to me , at least as a newer user, that the space has been dominated by a couple companies that because of that domination you don't infact get what you pay for nor do you get a ton of innovation as they have not had to. If I pay a premium price I expect a premium product which does not seem to be the case in pool robots.
If I buy a chinesium product as a chinesium price, I set my expectations to match.
Are there currently any top tier cordless robots?

Hoping the Aiper Pro will be "it". Really surprised there are no corded skimmer robots. I love my Betta2, but with 75% shade, and cloudy days, it doesn't run enough. Would be much easier to design a corded one since everything electronic could be out of the water.

Dolphin is launching theres this year. but Honestly, Id still considered corded. especially dolphin. the cordless is definitely a new trend for sure but in reality, you don't want the cleaners sitting in the pool all the time so the main concern of a messy cord look its nullified when you take it out. plus your cleaner will last a LOT longer if you do indeed take it out.

Agreed, mine's always out if not moving. The main issue with a cord for me is storage and can't run Betta2 if cord is in the pool. Hoping Aiper gets it right.

The aiper seagull pro is on sale for "world water day" whatever the heck that is. The combo kit with the handheld and the seagull se adds to the cart at 909.98 then coupon wt130 (right on the webpage so I assume ok to post) takes 130 off so 779.98 shipped with no tax. Shows still pre-order shipping April 10th now so I jumped on it and used my citi card that doubles the factory warranty up to 2 yrs.

Wow, thanks @Ahultin that is really the best deal around for the new Aiper Seagull Pro, in the package set "Package Discount : Aiper Seagull Pro and Aiper Pilot H1" with the coupon code "wt130" it is only $779 (no tax). That's $21 cheaper than the Amazon price with the $100 coupon and includes the free handheld vacuum.... which I may list on fleabay if I keep it since Aiper also offers a 30 day return period.

So I jumped on it because I really need something better than the Polaris that I got when I bought the house. I hasn't been working right for months now -- getting itself in knots and leaving the same pile of leaves in the same place for weeks on end... what a waste of electricity and that booster really draws some power. Not to mention that the past couple weeks the booster pump has started screaming loudly (noise polluting the neighborhood just running it) so it's def. on it's last leg.

The Seagull Pro looks like a great option with no cords so we can swim while it's running (my wife hates swimming with the Polaris cord in the pool), reasonable charge time to runtime ratio (2-3 charge, 3 hours runtime), handles walls & waterline, etc.. And a 2 year warranty from Aiper + 1 additional via AMEX Card. I mean the Polaris had lowered the bar a lot so I imagine this will be a significant improvement for me.

This seagull pro looks interesting. My Polaris p955 works fine but the cord is a pain.

As for not liking a bag. I went from container back to bag when I got my smart pool cleaner. Bag was way bigger and just as easy to rinse out. Person is right who said there isn’t enough innovation in pool cleaners

Any updates on the AIPER Scuba?

Amazon as the APIRER Scuba S1 for sale for $595 which seems like a relative bargin compared to some other cordless robots. Reviews are good for whatever that's worth and has a 2 yr warranty.

Looks like an updated Seagull Pro. Glad they got rid of the clunky dial. I've been very happy with the Pro for a year. Think I'll ask them if they have an upgrade fee. The bakery looks very similar (hopefully a little finer).

I emailed them with some questions, specifically about parts availability, whether the battery is serviceable by the customer and if not, cost to have it replaced, expected battery service life etc...

Waiting to hear back.

Hmmmm. Now I am thinking hard about this one. There is no Asurion warranty available on this one. It looks like Asurion has changed into a subscription model rather than an individual purchase. Dont know if this would be covered under it.

However, Aipers service was pretty good while I had the SE (it just broke a lot). I have since been refunded the purchase price by the credit card. So I have $179 burning a hole in my pocket.

So if this unit is $600 and comes with a 2 year warranty the credit card will give me an extra year. If it breaks in year 3 the credit card will give me my money back. If it works for 4 or more years, I get my money’s worth. Does not seem like a bad deal.

Well I couldn't resist, I bought it, I didn't want to wait and risk the sale ending. It would've been a little less compelling at $699. Figured at $595 if I get 3 yrs out of it and had to buy a new one, I'm still ahead vs buying one Dolphin that I'd probably only get 3 yrs out of. :)

Plus I liked their marketing video on Amazon.
