Hi everyone,

I grew up taking care of my family's pool, and just recently bought a house with a pool myself. So, while I have a lot of experience troubleshooting pool issues and maintaining good water, I also probably have a lot of bad habits and things I need to learn (that's why I'm here). I'm also a stubborn DiYer, so this forum is perfect. See you around!

Hey Zach and Welcome !!!!

I didn't find this place sooner because I had a salt water chlorone generator and my pool managed itself. I was more or less a bystander. But 6 years later the cell died, and I knew no more about chemistry than I did on day one.

Some simple searches here confirmed my cell was dead and once the new cell was running the show again, I took my sweet time learning all the things I should have searched for in 2012. Like this: Pool Care Basics
