I'm very frustrated. I've tried many times to upgrade my firmware to 1.047 using a USB flash drive but I can not get the outdoor panel to recognize the USB drive. I insert but it does not "see" it. I spoke to Intellicenter technical support and they said to use a 4GB to 8GB drive so I bought a new 4GB drive and no success, same issue, flash drive is not seen. Previously I had tried a 2GB flash drive and had the exact same problem. I also tried to upgrade the indoor panel, I was successful so my flash drives can be seen inside but now I have a mismatch error as the indoor panel is on 1.047 and the outside is on 1.040. I've reformatted drives using FAT32 and that has not helped. The USB port does have power. I've cleaned the inside of the port and lightly sanded the thinking moisture may have caused the port

Not sure if this will be the right answer but we had a recent issue with our Pentair firmware. We had to call Pentair for the update and they said they were only able to update the firmware. Something we couldn't perform. Odd as we are able to update firmware on any other electronic device.
Do you have any other software installed on the USB stick? Please shut down power to the load center, wait for half a minute then re-power the load center then try to access the stick. You must update to 1.047 before you can update to 1.064. Once you are on 1.064 the updates can be done over the network connection. Make sure you choose Update From USB and not try the other options first. Do not remove the USB adapter until you have the screen says to remove it.
In the worst case scenario you may need to reset the panel to factory settings. Before you do that back up the current configuration so you can restore it later.

Older Pentair EasyTouch and IntelliTouch systems require special equipment to update the firmware.
Pentair IntelliCenter can be updated by USB or OTA (Over The Air).
